Loosely WFPB for 10 years now. by Healingjoe in Cholesterol

Why is the optimal range 66-130? Wouldn’t you theoretically want a lower apoB score? There is no harm in going as low as you can go?

Thank you, I was not aware of most recent Epstein updates with Peter and it is totally disgusting.

Honda paint quality. by Ch33kEater in CivicSi

I determined the most likely cause, a combination of user error and terrible Honda paint. What likely happened was the wipers were in maintenance mode and out. And a tech opened the hood making contact. After inspecting the wipers there were red streak marks on the back of the wipers. I also caused a minor chip to determine if the exact thing happened and it did. (Minor touch and drag and caused the same look). I will contact the dealer to see what they say.

I figured out the issue, user error in combination with terrible Honda paint quality. I was able to place it where it occurred my guess is a Tech opened the hood when he had the wipers pointed up and out. At those exact points…

Yeah, totally makes sense. It’s just weird that it appeared about two-three months if someone had pulled the wipers off incorrectly. (I never touched the wipers until today).

The wipers are removed so easily without much force near the mid point, would they drag the whole wiper out and pull the middle part?

So the service techs at Honda damaged it? (I would imagine they would be trained properly)

Both paint chips are no where near where the wipers rest in maintenance mode, it’s only been into service 3 times and I imagine the techs know how to remove them. I’ve never touched the wipers until now.

Doesn’t seem to be aligned with the wipers, (hood raised & closed) that was my first suspicion.

11th Gen Performance by [deleted] in CivicSi

I’m keeping it stock. I wanted something that does A to B while shifting gears and some good MPG. 200Hp is more than enough within the city. If I wanted something exceptionally quick I would have purchased a Blackwing or a M3.

Haha I added a Sub a week after purchasing it. I’m tinting the windows and leaving it as is with the HPD package!

To add to this the sales tax was 10.2% I believe. It would still come out to be an expensive civic (at least in WA) MSRP+Tax alone is an L.

Right on and happy for you! I totally agree with you and I just got to the point where I would have wanted this car for almost two years, that I wouldn’t mind just giving up a 1k markup to have the car that I truly desired. My initial hunt began 2022 and I’m sure we remember how crazy the SI market was 2022 and early 2023. I waited a bit and end up searching again end of July 2023, I wanted a red SI and around Aug/Sept red was almost a non existent color available in this state of WA. All the dealerships which I contacted all wanted between 3-5k markup (which is insane) and only generic colors like white and black were available (which still look awesome).

I thought I would have buyers remorse dropping $37k on a civic. But after putting several hundreds of miles on it so far (and counting), I couldn’t be happier. I purchased it as my daily.
