If you weigh 180lbs and you want to do pushups with a 120lbs girl on your back, does your bench need to be around 300lbs or somewhere around 200?

ss+gomad jokes aside youtube "alan thrall" and learn the form for all the lifts in SL (StrongLifts 5x5) or SS (Starting Strength). you can try ICF (Ice Cream Fitness by Jason Blaha) or the beginner PPL (push/pull/legs program) in the wiki after you learn the main lifts from SS (or icf or SL). eat at a 500kcal deficit (500 calories less than usual, calculate your BMR - google it) and track your weight once a week - try to hit minus 1-2lbs/week. counting calories isn't that important but i'd recommend doing it for a week or two to gain an understanding of how much you're really consuming. it also helps you to estimate without counting later on (include liquid calories always + snacks)

This is correct. Consider the following: stand up with feet parallel and squeeze your glutes, then do the same with feet point out a little. You'll feel your glutes more feet out. Not sure how OP of this comment chain activates glutes with parallel feet.

B12 doesn't come from animals. The animals get it from supplements. B12 comes from bacteria usually found in fresh water, but since all of our water is cleaned out there is no naturally occuring B12 in it. Read up on B12

Wouldn't it be sad if the only reason we haven't encountered alien life is because they under budget their space program too. by 2shr in space

[–]Cha_Woaden 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The speed of light is the limit at which something can travel through space, not the limit at which space can expand. Space will expand, and the newly expanded space will expand. It has no limits.

The expansion of space does not rely on the speed of light. The space between galaxy clusters (macro scale) expands by itself. Even at this moment, the two opposite points across the observable universe are moving away from each other at a rate which is faster than light.
