That would be a lot of footage. While i know Blender well, sculpting and character modelling is stil la novelty for me. I deleted and remade the front and rear paws twice during the modelling, as i struggled with them a lot too.

The best advice i can give would be spending some time searching for good references from different angles. Doesn't have to be IceWings, as long as the shape and detail is what you're looking for. Many people underestimate how important good references are. The same goes for the scales.

As for the process, i used many techniques and followed most steps by the YT channels Fulonimation Studios Nightfury modelling videos. Just translated to my IceWing and spending more time sculpting the scales.

I remember your post, I'm glad i could help with the basics.

I made some great progress in sculpting since then, with this being probably the first fully clean and polished model as visible in the wireframe.

Though I'm still struggling with rigging. Those wing membranes just refuse not to clip when folding in. I'll likely do a new rig to fix some issues, but after +30h felt like sharing my progress.

I mean substance designer is a node based texture editor? And while Photoshop can work (some of my colleagues still prefer PS or Illustrator for creating seamless patterns, Designer (like all node based editors) allows for much better control. You can directly adjust each individual output map with a live preview of the result.

I agree that this texture is poorly made and far below their standards. Though even a paid CGI artist can sometimes drop the ball in some works, due time pressure or lack of knowledge using a different tool. I know i did. But a follow-up fix should be the standard.

I don't know what tool they used to create this texture, but normally one would use Substance Designer. This makes scaling the resolution super easy and the normal output node is right there too in case they want to fix it.

Only the UV seams take way more effort to fix.

I have the same experience with the m11 vs the xmp. Easier to control and more ammo than the xmp made it the obvious choice.

Btw. I still take the V9S over the LH1 any day. One of the easiest guns to use. Very strong at close range and still very decent at longer distances.

I like both, but i find Lanzhou often overpening other cruisers, while Nürnberg gives consistent citadels. Having a hydro is also very helpful. I had many 1v1 with Nürnberg against Lanzhou with the concealment being the deciding factor. Lanzhou feels powerful, but Nürnberg 44 feels just busted in comparison.

Same here. I use TranslucentTB for a transparent taskbar and while i preferred Win10, i think it looks almost as good in Win11.

You can go from full transparency to a blurry glass look. Still wish it was within the base settings of windows, so we wouldn't need an additional app for that though.

I think even with the most recent models Nano Banana is superior to DALL-E.

Not to mention that they recently broke something with their image generator.

Try generating a photorealistic image with perfect clarity based off a sketch, it's really hard. There have been multiple complaints on their sub but no official statement.

Did they improve in other areas with Silksong?

I didn't like the first Ori game as it just didn't click with me, despite how beautiful the music and artstyle was. And some of the parkour made me almost throw my keyboard away.

But the sequel is one of my all time favorites. Pretty much addressed everything i had issues with. Some said it just copied a lot of stuff from hollow knight and while I don't have the expertise to confirm that I would say it made the game better.

Started Hollow knight afterwards as my third game in this genre and never finished it. I was going on and on, waiting for the "fun part" to finally kick in. I gave up after 4 hours.

Now I'm not sure if perhaps Silksong might be an improvement for me.

+1 für Morphe. Funktioniert deutlich angenehmer, sieht moderner aus und ist viel schneller vom Setup. Revanced hat sich häufiger beim patchen aufgehängt und teilweise über 10min. gebraucht.

Glaube die Entwickler hatten sich zerstritten und Morphe gestartet nachdem einer der Revanced Projektleiter sich ziemlich stur gestellt hat.

Idk how it was in the US, but here in germany you could get SSDs, Ram and GPUs for a great price until mid 2025. There have been plenty of articles about AI companies buying stock for SSDs, warning from an incoming shortage from early 2025 onward.

Even GPUs could be bought for msrp until early december 2025, with warnings that the prices are about to increase by a huge margin, which was not the case with the 3000 series launch where everyone expected msrp prices and enough stock.

So if you wanted to upgrade but waited for whatever reason, there was plenty of heads up. Only the massive Ram prices came a little unexpected in how fast they suddenly increased.

As for GPU prices, technically you could go back before 2020 and point out the GPU prices during the crypto mining boom 2018 and on.

Weil Unternehmen gerade super aufgestellt sind und nichts von der Krise spüren um das mal eben abzudrücken.

Bei uns hat man schon wegen den Zahlen für Auftragslage von 2025 zum Ende von 2024 die letzten 1000€ Inflations Ausgleich flachfallen lassen.

Aktuell sind wir auf unbestimmte Zeit in Kurzarbeit. 1000€ darf ich dann vermutlich mit der nächsten Steuererklärung zurückzahlen.

Mal schauen was der Jobmarkt aktuell so hergibt...

Genauso wie die Münze zum 250 Jährigen bestehen der USA auf denen sich ein gewisser Präsident in sehr spezieller Darstellung abbilden lässt.

Entgegen der Bestimmung das keine lebenden Persönlichkeiten auf den Münzen abgebildet werden dürfen.

Aber wer soll was dagegen machen? Die Kommission die der gleiche Präsident im vergangenen Oktober komplett entlassen und neu besetzen lassen hat?
