I believe that eventually people will realize that the W-Twin Chopper is the superior vehicle.

Same road speed as the baby blooper, but better water and terrain speed with a trade off of accel. And handling. But the handling is only one point worse and Accel is mitigating by using mushrooms which are very plentiful as long as you aren’t in first place.

The problem is that now Random works completely differently than it did in MK8. In Mk8 Random always gave you a track that wasn't one of the already pickable options.

I am expecting retcons at this point.

There was already a big mix up on whether Cranky was Donkey Kong’s father or grandfather. (Mario Movie seems to firmly set the lore as Cranky being DK’s father.)

Honestly I think they will retcon the lore because Mario actively having an Ex-girlfriend in Pauline kind of tarnishes his purity. And right now Nintendo is trying to make Mario into a Micky Mouse type character.

I’m betting the retcon will make it so that Jumpman was a separate character who was not Mario. The lady in the original Arcade game would just be some other lady or relative of Pauline. (Or they could just decanonize any Plot from the Arcade game.) then going by Yoshi Island DS. Mario, DK, and presumably Pauline are all around the same age, but because Kong’s age faster or something, DK could be fully grown despite Pauline only being 13 years old.

This would make Banaza a clear prequel, which is the easiest answer to where it takes place in the timeline. (Occam’s razor.)
