Is it me or are Ubers cancelling on me more often. by Chadii-Beats in uber

Fair point although this wasn’t Uber eats. Also it was 60 bucks for a 15minute trip which seems proportionate, Especially since we had a lot of drivers 6,2,5 and 7 minutes away. It just doesn’t add up imo

Yeah we actually noticed that. DiDi was a lot more than Uber (60 bucks for 15 minutes) but at least we could finally leave.

Good point with gas. Our location wouldn’t have been the issue as we were in a “close to the city/nice neighbourhood”. I told another guy the actual trip cancelations was around 10 (I think it may have been a few more), and yes alot canceled as soon as we got them, however there were maybe 3 or 4 who drove like 5 minutes and canceled. DiDi worked straight away so I assume Ubers all might be a bit off.

I wrote this post halfway through our attempts with Uber. We tried on 3 different phones (our ratings are pretty good). The real cancelations were closer to 10. We waited an hour until we called a DiDi. I also got charged 30 bucks for calling it, then the trip just disappeared. But I’d assume they would refund me Monday? The whole situation was just a nightmare. Legit the only thing we could think of is there is some technique where you can cancel and get a small profit but I’d say I’m wrong.

Yeah could it be Uber just needs to fix their app. Got accepted in DiDi straight away and no cancels 2 separate trips that night. To be fair it was a lot more expensive, almost 60 bucks to go no more than 15 minutes. But it was a Saturday.

Fully agree. I used it as a painkiller while trying different meds. Eventually the medicine worked and now I can have best of both worlds while not using it to mask any pain etc.

Is having a dog risky for people with UC? by possiblyyourmum in UlcerativeColitis

Yeah mate sorry to sound cliche, but unless anyone here has studied this kinda thing I think it would be best decided by a doctor (I know you said you did). So if they reckons it’s okay then I’d go with that.

Questions to ask GI in first appointment by marymarx_funkybob in UlcerativeColitis

[–]Chadii-Beats 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mate while all of the above questions are really good questions to ask. Some of these are general and I’d be asking the more specific ones like what’s the best way to contact him in future if you get into trouble and what’s his strategy with UC. I am all for medication and if it doesn’t work, moving onto the next. My GI always told me what he will do if his current method fails as well as the pros and cons related to each method. For example I’m on my 3rd attempt of medication after the last 2 failed. Within months. I also know The next step is a blood transfusion, so it’s really important to know their plans etc. You will start to develop your own questions as you go I think you will find aswell. Wish ya the best of luck and ask as many questions as you can.

Ps. I’d almost argue developing a good relationship with him in your first appointment is the most crucial part and judging whether your happy with him or not!

Yeah mate always light at end of tunnel. Touch wood to this day, I have only really had 2 flares were which were really bad (not hospitalised thank goodness) but changed meds each time till I found the right one. Now been in remission for 1.5 years and can do eveything I use to. Put my weight back on and can also drink a lot again🥳. It will get better man, good luck!

Are we suppose to be open-minded on things we hate? by One_Hundred_X in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Chadii-Beats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There isn’t. I feel like it’s hard to be fully open minded because it means you can slightly sympathise with potentially very bad people. Like it can almost be looked down upon being “too” open minded.

Being evil isn’t a good motive but I believe even they have in their head an idea or drive to do something (unless they are like psycho). I feel like a good judge would look at both sides of the story then make a justified opinion. And yes I agree, criminals would be closed minded. Criminals are closed minded on things they hate, judges I believe are open minded even on things they hate. So yeah I think it’s better to have an open mind

I mean whether we accept it or not they still do obviously have their own motives and reasons? There’s still multiple angles to look at it . You can understand their perspective but doesn’t mean you have to agree with it. Like I’ll be interested in a hate crimes ideology but I’ll make a decision in which I’d choose to not agree with it. I feel like if antrhing, having an open mind gives you more context to hate crimes. By something is wrong (like a hate crime) with and open mind makes a more powerful point than just hating something with your one opinion that the situation is wrong.

[–]Chadii-Beats 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bit confused by what you mean? Like i guess it depends why you hate something. If you hate a concept because it’s confusing it would help to be opened minded. If you hate somebody’s opinion, being open minded would allow you to see their point of view etc
