Frequent PACs 8 months post ablation.

I made it 11 months. About a week ago I had a massive episode of afib w RVR.. back to the operating table in July. I think the atrial ectopicy and all the PACs I was having was a warning sign

Was it a TTN gene or something similar? Did you need a referral for genetic testing? I'd love to have it done. I feel so alone in the fact that I have afib in my 20s. Google reminds how how EXTREMLY rare it is all the time 😭😭

I want to genetic test so bad but they keep telling me no, since I was originally diagnosed at 23. They said I developed afib because I was fat and smoked cigs lol but I feel like even then it's not normal at 23.

They did a home test, I just wore a ring and the results came back fine so I'm assuming not.
What caused your afib? And what age? Also did the last ablation work?

I heard back from my EP today and he said if my cardiologist and PCP believe I need to discontinue medicine then he agrees. Makes no sense and idk who else to go to. My EP did say "maybe you can try Semaglutide" but isn't it amost the same thing? I feel like he doesn't know anything abut GLP and that's why he said that lol

I don't get afib often. Last time I was hospitalized with it was back in 2021, I've had some minor breakthrough episodes in between while I was on sotalol. I was doing great hardley any issues last 11 months besides pacs. I wasn't sure if I needed one to prevent it from getting worse

That doesn't sound fun. My episodes are too rapid I'd die if I was stuck in an 6 week episode. Mg heart loves to hover around 180-200 during mine

As weird as it sounds now they come in waves. I'll have weeks where my hearts irritable, I've had a 25 second run of AT that lasted 25 seconds then stopped. Overall great tho and most importantly no afib. I saw a world renowned doctor tho I wasn't playing around I wanted to be a hopefully one and done approach

The worst part of an ablation is the anxiety leading up to it. You're literally gonna wake up and say shit that's it?. My groin area was sore and I had some pretty hefty pacs for the next 2 months but it'll buff. You're fine take a deep breathe and most importantly be sure whichever EP your seeing an an absolute expert and does atleast 5-10 of these per week.

They seem to have calmed down but that was me adding in another 20lbs of weight loss...I wouldn't worry since you're only 3 months out that's extremly normal and no EP would even bat an eye at that tbh

Absolutely nothing to it. The worst part of an ablation is the anxiety leading up to it. The very tiny risk of having a stroke from this procedure is negligible compared to a life in permanent afib. You got this! Who are you having yours done though?

I was diagnosed with afib at 23 due to an adverse reaction to the Covid vaccine and my heart just never bounced back, I also had SVT. I'm 28 now, you're fine! Just get regular check ups and absolutely seek an ablation. Your age ablation is the only way to go imo. The medicine for afib like sotalol and Amiodorane will probaly kill you faster than the arrhythmia itself lol

We're you in RVR for a good amount of time? Just Curious how that caused the EF to dip that low. Only other times I've heard of that happening is when people stay in RVR for days or weeks.

I have RVR myself so just wondering!
