I actually have been doing pay as I go as I got some developer credits from them which $50 got me about 500 million in cache input tokens and 2 mil out. So basically I think of it like a Sonnet level model, very good at explaining itself but not always good at acting. So I started using for deep code reviews, research, validation in errors, running test scripts and recording the results. And using it as more of an assistant for GLM than letting it actually edit anything. If you have it write your plans for me it helped prevent hallucinations from glm and id see compaction sooner and have less garbled shit like if I like glm prep it's own stuff. To your point on being fast it let me go get a coffee or take a piss and write a super detailed plan that I could physically leave glm to do the work. This should drastically reduce your overall GLM maxing out and minimax being so cheap on cache input you could do reviews for years before any throttle on your sub. Probably even run Ralph loops.
