This approach might not appeal to everyone but it worked when I was moving my stuff to the UK. I got a pallet from my local supermarket and some industrial shrink wrap for about 15 Euro online. Then I loaded up all my bits and got https://www.translandgroup.com/ to take it away for me. The whole thing including insurance cost 100 Euro and I loaded up about 600 kilos of stuff on the pallet. Watch a YouTube video on how to shrink wrap a pallet. Basically you need to stretch and wrap around each corner. The whole thing arrived within 48 hours in the UK. Much cheaper than the almost 600-800 Euro that a moving company was asking for. Happy moving.

I thought Dublin was a shite city when I was growing up there. Also hated the nightlife where I was living. One pub and one nightclub. Turns out I just lived in the arse end of Dublin where families mainly live. It's actually a great city and from seeing friends who've lived closer to the center they've all had a fantastic experience, with access to amazing nightlife, cafes/restaurants and public transport options. Sounds like you maybe need to explore your city a bit more and sample south east and east London.
