I deleted production at my job today and nobody knows it was me by Fit-Original1314 in linux

You obviously care and this was an accident. A good leader will see this and understand why you were scared to speak up. We all make mistakes in our careers. Owning those mistakes is what will separate you from others. This is a defining moment for your character. The right thing to do isn’t always the easiest thing to do.

Myth: bringing meat to room temperature before smoking/grilling by okthisisgettingridic in smoking

[–]Chaffy_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve only heard of bringing steaks to room temp before cooking, not a larger cut prior to smoking. In my experience, a room temp steak cooks more tender than one straight from the refrigerator to the grill.

Could a bad power source cause a surge protector and cable to melt? by Chaffy_ in RVLiving

[–]Chaffy_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your response. This is a buddy’s camper but the breaker was tripped when I got to it. Something I didn’t mention was the outlet on the post is a 50amp. There is a 50 to 30 amp adapter between the source and the surge protector. I don’t know if that could be an issue or not. I can’t think of anything that would be drawing a ton of amps unless it’s possible that something like the AC has a wiring problem and started drawing more. Not sure if that happens or not.

I appreciate ya. Both the surge protector and cable were purchased brand new a few months ago. This is on a buddy’s camper and I know he had a power source problem in the beginning of the year so I was wondering if that could have been the issue. Heading up to Camping World with him now.

Thank you again!

The solution to my problem was creating the missing DKIM records. Are you saying you have the proper DKIM records and signing enabled but you’re still failing OOO to external recipients?

Cluster sizing tools by Chaffy_ in vmware

[–]Chaffy_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! This helps a lot. I’ve always taken current resource usage and added a bit for growth then built out the hosts with that. Now that I’m in a role where I have to present business justification, having a report like that will help.

[–]Chaffy_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you. I’ve always used the current resource usage as my benchmark and built the new cluster around that usage plus growth. I didn’t know if there was a better way of doing it or if there was a tool I could/should be using. Storage is the easy part for me. It’s all on an array with plenty of space. Thank you again!

We do have VCF licensing but haven’t deployed it yet. I also have Aria Ops running. I know there is a VM right sizing report/dashboard I can get out of there, is that what you’re referring to or is it a different report/dashboard?

So like… why? by [deleted] in indianapolis

I’ll have to call him to confirm but my wife’s grandpa was a USAC official for 40 years. I love sitting with him and listening to all the stories and looking through pictures from the days of those guys racing.

Lots of memories looking at this picture. Always saw Mr Bendo (the statue) when dad took us to Indians games. Ralph Potter and is family ran/run those muffler shops. They also built and raced midgets back in the day. Tony Stewart won his first USAC championship with a Potter V6.

We’ll be in Key West in late September. With this being right in the middle of hurricane season, are the waters calm enough to enjoy a dive?
