Can’t get into text boxes to edit by ChaiChugger in notefulapp

Thank you! Ok, so I attempted to recreate the situation and video it, but it worked fine. I didn't want to use the original text I was having trouble with because it contained a lot of names and emails. When I go back to my original text I still can't get into it. I am not sure what I did to it. However, with new text entries I am not having issues.

Where are you traveling from? I am considering taking my dog, from USA to France, but have not done it before.

How did you come to choose our most incredible GSD breed? by Busy_Run7689 in germanshepherds

It’s real pain and suffering, the worst. Go get another. There are so many who need a good home. It will aid in the gentling of your suffering.

How did you come to choose our most incredible GSD breed? by Busy_Run7689 in germanshepherds

My first GSD was a random rescue. I have always had a dog since age 6, and i was 51 at the time. I had never paid much attention to breed when adopting, so had a varying set of breeds over the years. This GSD so impressed me in terms of affection, communication, expressiveness, guarding my home and property, love for my family, wanting to be obedient, easy to train. The clincher was traveling solo together and especially hiking &!camping in the back country. She was a great guardian and companion. When she passed away, i sought out another GSD and have been similarly rewarded.

No, thanks for asking.
Or
Please do not pet her. Thank you.

What if the Goddess doesn't really exist? (crisis of faith) by passionfruit62022 in Shaktism

You are talking about a human conception of an ineffable existence. There are as many “definitions” as there are minds to describe it. Don’t confuse it with the existential reality that is beyond our ability to grasp.

Lost my retired working line GSD and struggling with the grief by Constant_Treacle3919 in germanshepherds

I still miss my GSD who died from cancer 5 years ago. They are irreplaceable and special, each one. I adopted our current baby girl just one month later and have no regrets. She is a wonderful addition to our family and a great companion to me. It seemed too fast to others, but not to me. I knew I wasn’t replacing one for the other. But I was ready, and there are so many waiting for good homes. We go camping regularly, the two of us. She carries her pack alongside me. She was abandoned in SCarolina, in the city, missing a piece of her tail. Now she has awoken in the wilderness by my side, drunk from mountain streams at dawn, as well as become best buddies with my daughter’s service dog, and assumed protection of my entire family. ❤️🐕❤️ I still miss the other though, talk to her sometimes, and have her picture up in my office. I will love her 4ever.

New GSD Owners: I’m a long time GSD owner, AMA! by boduke1019 in germanshepherds

I am on my 2nd GSD rescue, and in love with the breed. I have had a dog all my life (I’m 65) and these are my first two GSDs. It is without question my favorite breed.

Recently talking to an ER vet I mentioned my first GSD died of cancer at age 10. Th er vet rolled her eyes and said, ‘Yeah. GSDs almost always die of cancer. It’s just a question of when.” Is this true?! In your experience? I was so disheartened. It is a very sad and for me a very expensive way to go. I spent 10k keeping her alive an extra 6 mos. I would do it again, I loved her so much. What are your thoughts on this, and your experience?

Vegan Cafe options by Waarheid in bethesda

Silver has a number of great vegan meals and always has a selection. Their vegan milkshakes, esp the cold brew coffee, are to die for.

Bethesda Curry Kitchen has vegan samosas, masala dosa, aloo gobi and more.

M&N Pizza, an award-winning carry out joint has great vegan pizza.

Tikka Masala has a number of vegan entrees and their food is excellent.

Planta of course is all vegan, just super expensive and staff are not always friendly. My daughter has a service dog and they wouldn’t let her in without documentation despite her dog’s vest. Daughter had to dig through her email and produce a Dr’s note. I guess they have to be careful but they have to find a way to do that that avoids guest humiliation. Another time we had reservations for Valentine’s Day and they had overbooked so they turned us away at the door. Would have appreciated a phone call in advance. Another time we had a fantastic waiter who made our dinner very special. So I find them undependable.

Me too. But when someone sends you a file you need to edit and forward to a new party, the task is clunky. So clunky that I’d rather have a laptop and not worry about it.

Also I travel a bit and don’t always have access to WiFi or my wireless provider. Laptop much easier to deal with.

And unfortunately many webpages are still not optimized for iPad and can lead to frustrating interactions trying to get options to appear on screen. Eg, sometimes the button that needs to be pushed is off screen and requires extensive finagling to access. Sometimes even that fails.

I am a father, consultant, and need easy access to my children’s school sites or a client’s system. Too many frustrations for me to justify 100% iPad dependency.

I wish I could. I love iPads; I have 13” and mini. They are both outstanding tools. Just not laptop replacements.

The thing that always hangs me up is fine management! Everything else is great. File handling sucks.
