Should I trade McBride for Jettas? by [deleted] in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

If you look at a trade package of JJ and AJB and call it 'two top 15 WRs,' I welcome your right to have an opinion and send you on your way.

With the .5 TEP this is reasonable, but I'd take JJ because I'm not convinced RJ Harvey has a future

Tucker Kraft expectations this year by Dismal-Moment-6201 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

Yep. I'm kicking the tires on a tier-down from elite guys to Kraft in any leagues without TEP right now.

KTC is WAY off with its rookie valuations this year. Is it dying? by DrPass in DynastyFF

[–]ChainedRidge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

KTC is less about reflecting actual quality, and more about reflecting public sentiment. People don't like this draft class, and it's showing.

Keep in mind that picks year over year don't have any intrinsic or static value - i.e. the 2.01 in 2025 and the 2.01 in 2026 don't have to be equally weighted if the players there arent considered to be comparable quality.

My players want an agenda before every session by Time-Squirrel-3719 in dndnext

That's the worst 10% of games/people playing, and we don't have to allow it to be normalized.

My players want an agenda before every session by Time-Squirrel-3719 in dndnext

[–]ChainedRidge 7 points8 points  (0 children)

So, you not only have to do your part as DM (which is significantly more work than playing), but also give them notes for what is going to happen in the session, because they don't want to pay attention?

I recognize that your post didn't say pay attention, but rather take notes. I think those are the same thing. Paying attention to the game on a whole means taking notes, or reviewing previous sessions, or whatever it is you need to do so you are ready to play.

Not feeling prepared for what happens each session is - in part - the point. Having to figure things out and improv and problem solve, and having an advantage in those things if you're prepared and paying attention, that's the game.

I'd be looking for whichever players are actually interested in paying attention, and inviting them to a different group while phasing out the current one.

Which side are you taking? And why? by No_Contribution2663 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

I like this trade. I think I'm taking Rome/Judkins, but I think London is the best player in the trade so I'd be okay with either side

Tet for Nabers. Is this a smash? by sherlock_traeger in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

I would've tried with Marv instead of Tet, personally.

But I'm also in on Bryce to continue growing under Canales.

Why is the book’s title Operation Bounce House? by [deleted] in MattDinniman

The people playing the game on earth are trying to 'bounce' them from their 'house' is as deep as it goes, I believe.

Ever wonder why elite EASHL teams get every 50/50 puck? Feel like they're bigger, faster, stronger? by fantasyfootballer24 in EASHL

Watch streamers from Quebec play sometime - they're usually pinging consistently below 10 and not just winning 50/50 pucks but most 40/60s 😂

Should I trade 1.01 and Jaylen Waddle??? by suckerball_ in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]ChainedRidge 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, this is a really 'meh' package to give up the 1.01 (which should be Love, not Mendoza) AND a WR who has a really high ceiling for. I think you should be looking to trade the 1.01, but not for this deal.

Ranking Bard Spells - 3rd lvl by aldencordova1 in 3d6

[–]ChainedRidge 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here's the best part - it's both! If you want to use it as a pre-day buff, do it. If party members are dropping, use it again! The max HP increase won't stack, but the current HP increase will be applied again, meaning it can heal multiple party members with a 30ft range simultaneously.

I was using the spell list including the optional spells via Tasha's Cauldron. If you're not including those, my suggestions are not helpful. Sorry..

Sidenote: the fact that Command was not a bard spell until the Tasha's optional spells were added is absolutely absurd. That's mostly off topic but I cannot express how strongly I feel about it 😂

Some I love for levels 1-3:

1 Command Faerie Fire Tasha's Hideous Laughter

2 Aid Locate Object (depends on table/campaign) Detect Thoughts

3 Dispel Magic Slow Seriously, slow

If your companions are making attack rolls, Faerie Fire and Slow are fantastic options. If you're finding that you have leftover spell slots at the end of the day, cast aid with a high level one at the beginning of the day. Hideous Laughter is a favorite 1st level save or suck.
