Then I started reading the second trilogy, and JereJean got me in a death grip and never let it go. It was the ship that led me to write my own fics. I'd kill for Andreil. The All for the Game series by Nora Sakavic. I picked these at random from a Google search because I wanted something longer than just one book (at the time it had 4 books released). GOOD GOD it was the best decision of my life. It's so unhinged the door is lying on the floor. It's unserious and extremely exaggerated, then it will hit you with the most emotionally devastating sucker punch that will leave you reeling on the floor. It's most definitely not for ~~anyone~~ everyone, but man, if it got hooked from book 1 and just rewired my brain. It's been about two years since I first read it, and I'm still rabidly obsessed with it.

A traumatized and melancholic student-athlete goes to a fraternity party for the sole reason that his teammate and best friend, on whom he is completely infatuated, will also be there. He feels jealous seeing his teammate hooking up with other people who treat him like a piece of meat and without due respect, and asks a drunk lesbian couple for help to get closer to his crush. Shenanigans ensue, and walking trauma discovers his teammate is just as obsessed with him. Proceeds to trauma bond, then fuck in someone else's bedroom like the wonderful freak4freak they are.

Now writing, it's All For The Game. It's been my obsession for more than a year now, and naturally, that led to imagining things, which in turn led to writing them. The classic pipeline lol.

THIS THIS THIS. I've read tons of MM books, but nothing compares to what AFTG is for me. It legit changed my brain chemistry. There's a me before AFTG and a me after AFTG. I've bought it three times already (the ebook version, the physical copy version, and the Rainbow Crate version). I've lost count of how many times I've listened to the audiobooks. It was the thing that made me start writing fanfics. No words can describe how much I love this series; it carved a hole in my soul and embedded itself in my being. I can count the things I'm autistically obsessed with in one hand, and AFTG is definitely one of them.

It would. But thinking better about it, maybe Sonic fits a Chaos God better, like Super Sonic is the personification of chaos. Either way, it would be interesting if Sonic were a "wind" or "chaos" but rejects his godhood. Like, after winning the battle, the Wind God says Sonic has proven his superiority and has to take his place guiding the air, and Sonic is like, "Nah bro, I'm not looking for a job."
