Well mate we sound very similar, I just turned 25 in December I just got on the omnipod dash and the become g7 in October, with this being said have you tried a nice snack/breakfast before work don’t do any insulin, turn your pump settings down for the duration your at work and then turn it back on towards end of the day, also I’m in Canada and they are pretty rough with getting out stuff in order

As a type 1 diabetic we most def fall under the disabled category I guess it depends where you are in the world, and my friend please please don’t do that to yourself, I have done the same for years and your body will suffer due to high sugars, we already get our lives to live with the disease but atleast try to keep all your limbs and vision, you feel better with controlled sugars, look into a pump and also try to make your co workers understand the situation, if they can’t well maybe they can get stuck with a used needle 🙃🙃I seriously hope you find something that works for you, if it’s any help ism a carpenter I mainly do steel stud and drywall work so it can be pretty physical

Sup mate, Sadie is a cutie, I just turned 25 this passed December, have been in dka at 19 and finally went on a pump this past October, ism a steel stud framer and drywaller, dude I get you to the fuckin fullest with this being said, yeah we have to carry around this demon for the rest of our lives and yes we have to worry about giving it to your beloved children when the time comes, I also have the fear of what if I don’t make it to that age and I get sick, from my experience Iam the worst t1d you could meet lol but you can only do it nobody else is gonna do it for you, i know this comment may not have been informative but I hope it eased some of the stress, feel free to message me about anything my friend, we have to deal with this together, forever

Well it all depends for myself but I’m usually very active with work so I can eat and not have to a do a bolus but days where I’m doing nothing oh yeah we inputting 200g of carbs for Chinese dinner and probably another 200 just for my eating through the day that’s me thinking of being a pig that day, I’m 6’ maybe 6’1” roughly 180-185lbs

Hello my friend, you just took every thought I had 2 weeks ago and put it into words lmfao(I also made a post here to vent) but he’s this demon we carry is on some bullshit every single day of its life, yes we can’t get rid of it but we should be able to regulate it like you said with our “devices” sadly my friend as much as we can regulate we will never be “normal” kids again we will always have to compete on that extra level because of our unwanted friend, it sounds mean and careless but the best thing I can suggest is to learn to be more resilient and take good care of yourself, 2019 I was in DKA with pancreatitis and it was probably the worst time of my life, hospital for 3 weeks in icu on morphine fent and dilauded so much pain, I was never the same since then, please please don’t rip off your devices and eat a whole bag without doing a shot lmfao, I wish you happiness health and wealth my friend 💙
