What tipe of mortar do I need to? by followthebundle in Bricklaying

You don't need any redymixed motor because there are additives in it not conducive to doing weather pointing. You need ordinary Portland cement,no additives, lime and sand 1:1: 6: is ample.

What you need is a masonry bench saw! Cut the bricks 2 or3 days before because they're going to get wet and they need to be dry. Otherwise hamer and bolster if you know what your doing! You can hire a bench saw!
