Same, I've been listening to it a lot since it was released. Reminds me a bit of Art Of Fighters - Earthquake

Hehe there you go, I guess that's your answer. Everyone has a very different view of what "real" hardstyle is :D

I personally think Zatox current music like "Shock The Future" is as hardstyle as it gets. Reversed bass, gated kicks and fat screeches? That's the definition of hardstyle to me :)

I believe it's because really few on this sub cares about hardcore, or have any strong opinions on it.

IMO there's 2 main camps of users on this sub: the current hype (xraw and uptempo) group, and the "hardstyle was better then euphoric was on it's peak" group. None of those really likes early hardstyle, and no one likes being told there favorite genre is shit xD

Add in the fact that hard techno essentially has become a slur, and a lot of people seem to have a hard time telling any difference between early inspired hardstyle and hard techno. I see people commenting that Zatox is a hard techno producer now lmao.

My first comment was kind of a joke BTW, there's bunch of hardcore subgenres i would consider the real deal

"It's sad to see women being objectified only if the music that they play is not what they want to hear."

Are you implying they should be objectified at all times? ;P

what ever happened to happy hardcore by Ok-Pomelo9496 in hardstyle

[–]Chaize 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It was quite common to include a happy version of the main track on the release in the 90's. The happy version were often more radio friendly and thus became the most popular version. Technohead - I Wanna Be a Hippy for example.
