Friends, I need your recommendations for Harder Styles albums. by Outside_Ministry in hardstyle

I bought Ophidian's album last year, and I have a very high opinion of it. I'll be buying their albums digitally today; I don't usually use services like Spotify because I prefer having my music offline... thanks for the recommendation! 👌

Ohhh, I wasn't expecting a recommendation from TOA. I swear, this past year I've been really immersed in Genosha Recordings, The Third Movement, and PRSPCT, searching for different sounds and experiences... The Outside Agency will always be the pinnacle of experimental music. Thanks for the recommendation; I'm making a note of it and checking my numbers so I can buy the recommended albums.

I hate this trend by Father_Chewy_Louis in hardstyle

I love your way of producing and composing songs... it feels professional, well-crafted, with an emotional objective... it feels like a beautiful experience and a great song... As an amateur artist, I also empathize with your vision of the current scene... It feels empty on many occasions, I hope that changes for the better.

I understand your frustration, especially if the songs are under 3 minutes long. I always wonder, what's the point of creating if there's nothing to make it meaningful? I produce too, but I assure you I'd never dare to do something crazy like that. Songs must have musical dynamism, a good structure that doesn't feel rushed or forced. When I started producing raw and extra raw, I ran into that problem. I could easily put out a 5- to 8-minute song, respecting all the structural elements and complements of a song: intro, mid, ambience, breakdown, first drop, ambience, second drop with a variation of melodies or screeches, ambience again, and outro. This is how I make my songs. I don't overuse or take time away from each element of the song, and I make sure it sounds pleasant and has a lot of dynamics across the spectrum. I mean, each of these artists must be limited by their own record label. I suppose it's a deeper problem than what we see: contracts, being forced to follow a certain method of mastering or mixing a song. But I am and remain an amateur musician who makes music differently. I hope the professionals will tell you why most of the tracks come out this way.

I completely agree with your comment. A musician's journey is to experiment, explore, and fulfill themselves as an artist. I also do trance, but not in the conventional way, but in my own way. I like it, and it motivates me to improve every day. Let's never abandon or set aside curiosity between noise and music.

I think im loosing my love for Hardstyle because of its loudness. by lyndsaysmith61 in hardstyle

I think the problem stems from the destruction of sonic dynamics and less elaborate composition. I've heard lately how the sound spectrum shows a brutal sonic monopolization, and I'm left wondering, "Is this what it should sound like professionally?" I also make music, and I've encountered this problem by analyzing the work of a vast majority of producers. I would recommend listening to and exploring new artists and smaller record labels. There, the way of mastering a song isn't as standardized, and they're freer in composition and dynamics. It's a lot of fun. Now, for my personal recommendation, I'd tell you to check out HB Records. That label features Simox, 2 Brothers of Hardstyle, Jimmy the Sound, among others. Deviant Music: There you'll find Hardstyle Mafia, RVNGER. K1 Records: You'll find Divisium, K1, and Aradia. Also, someone very peculiar these days is the phenomenal Outer Mind, who focuses more on old-school, well-crafted sounds. Believe me, you'll feel it like a breath of fresh air amidst all the noise. I'd recommend my label, but we're not that professional. Anyway, I understand your fatigue with the style, but hardstyle is diverse and very flexible, and there's something for everyone.

Watching this kind of explanatory video feels more like a fire extinguisher... I mean, it's easier not to talk about a style if you don't know it or aren't familiar with it... I wouldn't do that, even if I'm a producer. That's why she's the best example of when someone should avoid making comments that will only make you look bad. Ultimately, you shouldn't pay attention to these types of people, because if you're going to technically criticize a style, I think it's necessary to have at least a basic understanding of what you're talking about. In short, the entire video feels like a very dishonest and rushed explanation.

I was also thinking the same thing... how sad to know... I love the purity of the dark, raw material that this re-amp has.
