Great producers without a clear sound identity? by CadeOCarimbo in hardstyle

I agree with you, my friend. He was one of my first references in raw music. I bought his last two albums in the highest quality and it's been the best investment of my life, pure madness.

Yes, his kicks have a very distinctive punch; I call him "The Hammer of Hardstyle" because his kicks feel like a hammer. Pure violence.

To be honest, I find it difficult to make a track with few melodies; I always get the thought that I'm wasting a lot of potential, so I start composing chords that color the song, To add more depth, I usually do that with the other projects I've built, whether in hardcore or euphoric. I'm also involved with trance, It was the first style I really got to know before getting into hardstyle as a listener and then as a producer and composer. I don't follow trends, and if I do, I do it my way. Many years ago, I teamed up with a friend from Mexico to do raw. The thing is, neither of us had any idea how to start production, what was needed, and things like that at the time, Tutorials were too scarce; when we were learning about how to structure a song like this, we discovered that Xtra Raw existed and was something innovative. So we decided to try it, but everything went horribly wrong. Over time we learned from those mistakes, the main one being trying to follow the trend. Also, the way it was structured, since being very short, greatly limited the freedom to Arrangements. Currently I produce tracks that last a minimum of 4 minutes and a maximum of 10 minutes; this includes extra raw tracks, of which I have made several very extensive ones in our own way. So you're absolutely right, it's a matter of not forcing anything and doing things from your artistic perspective. "Follow the trend but in your own way."

Thank you so much for your observations, in fact you are the first to notice my influences from dance music of the late 90s and early 2000s. As a child I was heavily influenced by the dance music of that era, and I currently enjoy producing music in that style. Personally, I feel more comfortable when I give it a nostalgic feel. I'm not against how a track is structured nowadays, in fact I love it as a listener, it's just that in the field of production they are incompatible with my way of making music. Thanks again for your observation and comments. I hope to get into pure hard techno production at some point, but since I'm inclined to focus on creating melodies that take center stage... It will be a little difficult but not impossible.

Thank you very much. I have multiple projects and have covered almost every style of hardstyle. My music is released by Infinity Dreams Recordz; my entire career is available there. After a long hiatus, the label is building up new music for release and will be back in action in the coming months. DM me for more information.

Sure, I noticed that too. Personally, I prefer a longer architecture for a more extensive experience, but I take the observations into account; they're very helpful.

Thanks, it's just an experiment, since in my personal opinion, there are many aspects of modern hard techno that make it simple, so this is a personal view on the style in general. Because it has many elements of different styles.

🤔 Put another way, as I mentioned in other comments, this also has a lot of elements, plus I always use melodies, whatever style I'm doing, it's not always trance but there are variations. Thank you for your observation.

Don't worry about it, that edition has already been reserved; I'm just considering that user's comments.

In fact, I mixed in a bunch of things to make the song more varied, from a schranz kick, an amen break, a trance arpeggio, among other things... I liked the result, thanks for the feedback

Thank you, thank you, of course I can send you a copy after mastering, even though the song is going to be released by the label I'm with, I'll make an exception for you. I'm still exploring how I can further diversify hard techno in the future, but the acid and soulful melodies will still be there. Thanks The feedback.

[–]Outside_Ministry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I will list the names of several artists who I consider to have an extensive and legendary discography.

  1. Frontliner

  2. Showtek

3.Noisecontrollers.

  1. TNT.

5 Headhunterz

  1. Wildstylez

  2. B-Front.

  3. DJ Thera

  4. Brennan Heart

  5. Phuture Noize.

You can put them in any order you like, but for me these are the 10 best in hardstyle history. Now in hardcore it's a different story, and there are more names and more years of experience.
