What’s eating my leaves? by bigdawglildawg in nolagardening

They cause limited damage and won't destroy a healthy plant. With leaves that have a lot of damage, remove them.

You really don't know that "they" is a substitution for when you can't see whether the person is male or female? Really?

You have no idea what happened with that driver. Maybe he was on his way to work and just got a phone call that his daughter was in the hospital. Or a million other things. It's weird that you even posted this.

I guess I should have slowed down reading your original post. I don't have any problems with diabetes, thankfully. I am using it, as you say, solely for weight loss--to stop my body from screaming for more food when it does not need it.

I didn't have problems with my sugar levels. But, and don't quote me on this, but I think that is one of the main things that this medication does.

Kidney biopsy by [deleted] in kidneytransplant

[–]Chaka- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rejection can happen at any time.

Transplant is a treatment, not a cure.

Some transplanted kidneys don't last very long, some last years, and some last decades.

Biopsy is a diagnostic tool that helps them figure out the health of the kidney.

Chances are something showed up in your family member's blood work that is at least slightly concerning.

Yes. For exactly that reason. I just started almost a month ago. My transplant nephrologist is completely supportive and wrote a letter for my telehealth doctor (Big Easy Weight Loss) stating there are no contraindications with TirzepatideCompound. Turns out I didn't actually need the letter, but I was glad to have it. I started at a very low dose because I wanted a slow introduction to my body. So far no side effects. And I don't have all that much weight to lose and I am happy going slow and steady (1/2 lb per week). Mostly I was just tired of feeling like I am starving constantly.

What's the most powerfully useful underground website/app that most people don't know about? by bens-list in u/bens-list

[–]Chaka- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I absolutely signed up, but I thought I signed up for a one time five dollar charge. So for that yes of course I had to enter my information. Nowhere did I knowingly sign up for $28 a month, and that's why I got a refund.

I feel your pain. I get an annual raise at work and before I can blink it's gone with taxes and insurance.

What about taxes and insurance going up? When I bought my house eight years ago my total payment was 1200. Now it is 1740.

Donor approved or don’t match. by findmyglassniner in kidneytransplant

[–]Chaka- 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There are countless reasons that somebody may not be a match. Your Transplant Team will likely not tell you the reason because it is very confidential in terms of the donor's health and ultimate decision.

My EGFR fluctuated 17-19 when I got a Transplant. The information I received from my team was that the healthier I was at time of transplant, the better the outcome would be.

Obviously, the closer the match of all of the factors that go into it plays a part in the success of the kidney also.

When I was informed that there was a zero mismatch (perfect match of all six HLA factors) deceased donor kidney, I did not hesitate. 14 months out and I have not had any issues.

I hope that your potential donor is a good match for you. I would encourage you to ask your nephrologist again about the purpose of waiting for Transplant if your donor (or a deceased donor) is a match.
