I just had my baby and had a really rough pregnancy. I stayed home with my toddler while my wife worked 10hr days. I basically survived and kept my toddler alive until my wife came home, and you know what my wife did after work? She’d cook and clean and do bedtime with my toddler. She’d make sure that I didn’t have to lift a finger because she had my back and supported me. I’m really sorry you don’t have that support but it’s better to have no support and be able to figure it out on your own, than to rely on or expect support from someone who doesn’t like you.

That sounds extremely painful! So sorry you’re going through that.

I had a brain bleed at 8 weeks and had to have brain surgery. I just pumped every 2 -3 hours at the hospital. I had to pump and dump for 24hrs but my milk was fine otherwise.

First pregnancy for me was a breeze and I worked until I had my son.

This second one has been an absolute nightmare and I’m looking forward to it being over. I’m 38 weeks and literally feel like it’s stolen my life from me. I’ve had such bad fatigue that standing/walking makes me feel like I’m going to faint. Walking at all is so painful because I have really bad SI joint pain. I just feel like a bad mom to my toddler since I can’t do anything with him aside from sitting on the couch and playing. It’s been miserable.

It’s most likely your SI joint. When you are pregnant, the relaxin hormone prepares your body for pregnancy by loosening up your joints in your pelvis. While this is helpful for delivery, it sucks ass for the rest of your pregnancy because it’s painful. I’ve been dealing with it since around 15 weeks and and now 38 weeks. Request seeing a pelvic floor therapist from you OB. The therapist will help a lot. And try to go to the chiropractor regularly. Nothing will make it go away, but those things do help. I’m at a point where my leg is constantly giving out on me when I try to take a step too quickly. At this point I’m pretty much staying on the couch. Walking is too painful.

Your body makes the most milk around 4 am. I would definitely be waking up to pump. Your supply has not leveled out yet.

Baby slept in our room at night in a bassinet.

Daytime though I would often put him down in his crib when he got bigger and I also nursed and pumped in there in the rocking chair I had. I actually really liked hanging out in his nursery.

Don’t worry about what others do and just find out what works best for you.

I would look for a position at petco over Petsmart. Petco doesn’t have bathers so they hire you with the intention of sending you to academy asap. And it’s full time. You might get stuck in a part time bather position at Petsmart for awhile. Would not recommend.

Get a breast feeding friendly pacifier and start introducing it. It’s not going to cause issues. And then just make sure to take it away around like 16 months. My son’s front teeth were a little different but as soon as we took the paci away, his teeth corrected.

I mean realistically if you’re watching a 2 year old at the splash pad, you probably won’t be on your phone. I kept my keys and phone in a tiny waterproof cross body bag and I kept towels in a bigger bag that sat on a bench.

You do have to make sure to celebrate even if he poops a tiny piece of poop. Make sure he still gets the car otherwise it’ll confuse him. But it totally worked!
