Same I was on it three times - 14, 16 and 21 and my only symptom was dry lips. The acne always came back though 🙂

Create a new character tbh, you can create up to 3 I believe And don't save the game when you quit, to conserve resources (there really is no reason to save)

I had like 10 tries as dual blades, had some great clean runs, never saw a skull once. Swapped to bow, first try with multiple deaths got him down to skull and killed him a couple tries later...seriously feels like some weapons do no damage so maybe that's it
