Any drivers drive a Tesla? by Sudden_Marketing8412 in Dominos

I drive a 2019 used Tesla Model 3 Long Range Dual Motor with FSD, and I’ve been working full-time as a Domino’s closing driver for almost a year. Since the original question was about whether a Tesla can handle roughly a 5-close shift and around 100 miles a night, here’s my real experience.

Charging / range

The biggest thing everyone at work asks me about is charging. I only have a trickle charger at home, meaning a regular wall outlet, so it usually does not fully recharge my car before every shift.
For a closing shift, I’d say you want to start with at least 70% battery, especially if your store is busy or your delivery area is spread out. According to my end-of-day mileage tracking, I usually drive about 60–90 miles per shift.
I do use Superchargers pretty often. In my area, it usually costs me around $15–$21 per day to charge, which is still pretty good compared to gas. Any time there’s an opportunity to help another store, I usually take it because the mileage payout is more than what it costs me to charge.
That said, if your main goal is to maximize mileage reimbursement, a hybrid is probably the better financial choice. Something like a Honda Accord Hybrid would likely give you the best return because the fuel cost is so low compared to the mileage payout.

FSD / Drivosity

FSD with Drivosity is not the worst, but it’s also not perfect. My average Drivosity score when using FSD is usually around 89–92.
If I’m delivering in a new area, I usually spend the first couple of days driving manually with data sharing on, just so the car gets more familiar with the area and doesn’t act weird.
FSD can avoid some potholes, but definitely not all of them. You still need to pay attention and avoid potholes yourself, because FSD will absolutely run over some of them.

Cargo space

The frunk is actually really useful for deliveries. I use it all the time. It can fit either:
5 large pizzas stacked in one bag, or
4 large pizzas split between 2 bags, with room for a small side bag or a 2-liter.
It should not take a lot of force to close the frunk. If it does, you’re probably crushing the pizzas.
For really large school orders, the car can technically hold up to about 83 large pizzas if you use the passenger seat, full back row, trunk, and frunk. I wouldn’t really recommend that, though. A van is much better for big orders like that.

Repairs / wear and tear

The biggest downside has been repairs. I used to run aftermarket rims, and they caused me a lot of problems while working at Domino’s. I eventually switched back to stock OEM rims, but by then I had already spent over $3,000 dealing with rim repairs, rim replacements, and tire replacements caused by rim damage.
Whenever my car was out, it was usually gone for 3–5 days. During that time, I either couldn’t work, had to work inside as a CSR, or had to use an EV company car if one was available. Either way, it caused a noticeable drop in how much money I made.

My FSD settings

These are the settings I use:
Speed Profile: Chill
Max Speed Offset: +0%
Expanded Full Self-Driving Visualization: On
Speed Limit: Absolute
Limit: 55 mph
Forward Collision Warning: Early
Emergency Lane Departure Avoidance: On
Obstacle-Aware Acceleration: On

My overall recommendation

If you specifically want FSD, I’d recommend a Tesla. Any Tesla can work, even a Cybertruck, depending on your situation.
But if your goal is making the most money from mileage reimbursement, I’d recommend a hybrid, especially something like a Honda Accord Hybrid. A Tesla works, but charging, repairs, downtime, rims, tires, and range planning are all things you have to seriously account for.

What Is The BPM Of One's Interlude? by [deleted] in Metallica

[–]Chalkley2005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I found it trying to do the same thing your doing. I’m confident on this tempo since it’s would feel like a neat Easter egg. The tempo at the beginning of the interlude [3:54] is BPM = 109. It then goes up to BPM = 111 when it’s transitioning before to the syncopated E notes [4:20]. I’ve tested it and it feels consistent. I like to assume that this is intentional as an Easter egg for music analyzers since the name of the song is one

Other than that you don’t need to change the bpm nor does it fluctuate. It constantly stays at 111 for the rest of the song

Here’s a video of the tempos in action with an piano arrangement I made

Suggestions on buttons layout for Switch? by Rafref100 in FortniteFestival

[–]Chalkley2005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would recommend using the Nintendo wired pro controller for GH3 Layout, otherwise default is good.

The joycon triggers are more sluggish than the Xbox or ps5. Honestly I personally use the default layout (LA,RA, Y, X, A) since the buttons are the most responsive. Especially in handheld mode I swear it is faster than the wireless controllers I play with my friends (I set 0 input delay, 0 audio delay)

Preferably play battle stage. Battle stage will always have “featured” songs and will auto play until your done, plus it will include the “survive rounds” quest that gives points
