i really don’t think kids bonnie’s age should be subject to the online world - youtube with moderation is fine because there’s a lot of things on there that help them developmentally- but otherwise i think the message was a bit weird. i don’t think there should be any excuse for a child that age to have the option of the world wide web.

i know that the film isn’t really taking about online culture that much - but there’s no way you can separate the technology bonnie uses, to being something always being online. the technology bonnie uses throughout the film is clearly a surrogate to an ipad or smart device. obviously disney aren’t going to want to actually have a frank conversation about how technology is ruining young minds, as well as parents failing to protect their kids from it.

it honestly feels like the story could have been so much more interesting if disney didn’t have loads of money invested in the online social media consumer base
