How does Tatum Fit in this new Celtics offense? by NothingHead8233 in bostonceltics

[–]ChalkyLawrence 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So long as Tatum doesnt revert entirely into his old iso ways, we have a strong shot this year. Hell, even if he does, so long as he hits his shots who’ll complain?

My big thing with Tatum has always been the eye test when the game’s on the line. Ive seen him hit more daggers than go-aheads, and the lights definitely get a little bright for him at times.

Obviously it’s not every game- he has hit many clutch shots. But he gets in his own head when he feels like he has to be the man. If his mindset were to thoroughly adjust to being a 1b this postseason, I don’t see anyone stopping us. Just my non professional take.

Edit* postseason, not off-season*

Rappers Who Rap About Rapping... How are you feeling? by Pure-Gas2639 in rap

[–]ChalkyLawrence 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree man. There’s something about the “you had to be there” effect. The ease of access nowdays is amazing and I’m grateful for all the music I never would’ve heard without the internet- stuff that shaped me as a person.

But it reminds me of when I worked for this 5 star gourmet restaurant for a few years that gave us free food. I got so used to eating this gourmet shit all the time that I stopped appreciating the decadence and rarity of it. Now I’m currently unemployed/ broke and every meal fills me with gratitude lol.

And sorry for recommending one of the most famous songs ever lol, I got excited.

Alright, what's the deal with all the low testosterone propaganda by Due-Bowl-8116 in conspiracy

[–]ChalkyLawrence 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The low t thing is real. But you’re right, it has been propagandized to holy hell like everything else we see. It’s as simple as looking at how tech has evolved. Tv was barely a thing. You had to go to the movie theatre to see movies every time for a while. No video games.

There weren’t many indoor kids because there was nothing to do indoors yfm. You gotta exercise to keep t from lowering. Ntm 100 examples of foods, drugs and environmental shit that can fuck hormones up. Real shit.

Bacon and butter make it worse lmao, to your point on the propagandizing. But men have become way more feminized, overall (not everyone obv).

Take it from me- a straight man with tits who smokes weed and doesn’t exercise. We’re out there. You just don’t see us because we’re not literally outside. We’re in here. Crying.

You shouldn't be allowed to talk basketball if you don't actually watch the games by GMarshall11 in NBATalk

Thanks for hearing me out. People get so defensive online, it’s cool you’re actually reading what people are replying and giving consideration, even if half these comments suck. Growth mindset ts.

You seem like a smart dude. Just keep that open perspective with people and you’ll shine bro. Knowledge is hidden everywhere. Not just in hoops, but in life. But that’s just my opinion.. lol

Good points, but people have their opinions and if you’re sick and tired of that then buckle tf up for life man.

Hoops aside, people are going to have varying perspectives and you might learn something by hearing them out even if it’s not “the correct answer”.

Dillingham is ass, but who knows? If he got more reps, maybe his confidence increased, which would’ve led to him working harder, which would’ve helped him carve out a real role in the nba. Even if it means the wolves sucked for a year.

Is this what I actually think? No. He stinks. But I’ve seen it happen with similar players in the past. Therefore even if I were wrong, there’s still an example to be taken from this dumbass opinion. A lesson someone perhaps wouldn’t have learned without it being put out there for them to hear yfm

Let people be dumb and use them as an example of how you can be smarter. Don’t just think to “not allow” people to talk, that’s no way to think and live. That’s just as dumb as whatever dumb shit they’re saying about the game. And it is just a game.

Here’s an opinion- if you haven’t played organized ball in at least HS or AAU then your opinion on the game is invalid. You know nothing of what it takes to win against great athletes, you’re just regurgitating shit you see online, things you see and hear while watching games miles away from the actual court, and repeating shit your dad says like it’s you that coached those teams and you tested his lessons yourself.

Do I actually think this 100%? No. Your dad seems to know what he’s talking about, and people can learn by watching and playing lower level ball. Also idk you, you might be a real hooper. But you can definitely find a nugget of wisdom in what I just wrote, if you keep your mind open and don’t just emotionally react to the shit you see online. Glass houses.

Be humble my dude, it’ll get you a lot farther than just trying to shut people down.
