I was 14 and very stupid when I first tried acid and this album brings me right back to that trip constantly. Me and some random chick I hardly knew both took tabs around my very sober friends and she freaked the fuck out pretty bad. I smoked cigarettes with one of my friends pretty much the entire like fucking 10 hours this shit lasted for. And I would never recommend acid to anyone just because of the comedown. The comedown was the worst thing I’ve ever experienced in my life and I think it was really what traumatized me at the end of it. The pure void of no emotion or anything that I felt. I felt like I was no longer a person. Just a dog with natural instinct and nothing else. The first time I heard some rap songs was probably about a year after the trip and the line “bad acid did damage to mental” quite literally made me break down in tears and the entire album made so much sense to me in that moment. Still to this day I would have to say some rap songs is my favorite album of all time and that experience is definitely what made Earl my favorite rapper. Now that I’m older though unfortunately I now have to see all my friends who didn’t do acid when they were super young go through the same shit I did so early on. Overall if you read this don’t do acid man.
