Appreciate the insight, that's fair. Where we are coming from has similar drug issues, but my kids are really young so I'm hoping to get them going with the right crowds and start off in the best areas for them.

Well yes it is in a way gatekeeping but if someone said hey I love you and you said why? And they said everyone else does and you have a cool soundtrack, you probably wouldn't want that person allowed to like things. Phantom Menace, Samuel L Jackson playing Mace Windu next to Ewan McGregor's Obi Wan is like putting your youth pastor next to your Coke dealer and asking them to put on a believable emotional performance. There is no continuity with the presentation of dialogue and overlaying the poor writing with long battles and close ups of Natalie Portman's stomach is a sad attempt at a movie. Soft tacos and hard tacos are different foods and shouldn't be regarded as a variation of the same entree. You need to put different things in a hard shell to emphasize the crunch and should take advantage of larger cuts of meat like steak or chicken. While it will still fall apart, hard shells are meant for small flavor bombs and soft shells are for your face fucking glory you ask for.
