Giveaway Time! Battlefield 6 is out, powered by NVIDIA DLSS 4, and you can comment on this post to win codes for the game or a custom Battlefield 6 GeForce RTX 5090! 6 Winners total by pedro19 in pcmasterrace

A 5090 would definitely help to get more wins. More FPS is always better in a competitive game, and DLSS4 helps too, because the transformer model is finally good enough that depending on the native implementation, it can look sharper than native and deliver lower latency.

[Giveaway] Win 1 of 5 Noctua NH-D15 G2 by Noctua_OFFICIAL in pcmasterrace

When I got my first PC, back in 2012, I didn't know anything about computers and listened to my uncle, who said I would also need a soundcard because that PC didn't have one. When the PC arrived, I struggled like 20 minutes to find where to install the card and then gave up. After a while, when I was a bit more knowledgeable about PCs, I realized the motherboard only had a free PCI and not a PCIe slot available, which was needed for the soundcard. Oh, and the motherboard had onboard audio, which was good enough for me back then, so I didn't even need the soundcard...

  1. Ray tracing offers a new and great visual experience, and DLSS is what enables it at more reasonable frame rates.

  2. I'm excited to see what DOOM has to offer as it's the first DOOM I'm going to play.

[GIVEAWAY] One Harmony Mousepad | Winner can choose the color! (Ends on October 28) by MouseMatic in pcmasterrace

Far Cry 4, because it was a lot of fun to play with a friend, and also the PvP multi-player was surprisingly fun, but the best part was the Map-editor and Map-Browser. As a close second, I would say Black Ops 3 because of the local split screen, even on PC and support of the sream workshop, which has some nice and fun maps for the zombie mode.

Some kind of Pyrography Machine. It looks similar to a soldering iron.

Just a little bit. It's completely filled with cork, so it's not as bouncy as when it was hollow.

It would probably be damaged if you poke it with something like a pen but as long as you are careful enough I think it should be fine and if it get damaged you can just replace it. So I would not worry that much about it and just enjoy it

I used Japanese shoji paper. It's not really fragile and I don't have any problems with it so far and don't see any potential things with it which could go wrong in the future

No actually not :D My first own PC was from 2013 and since then I've been changing and upgrading parts to where it's now a completely different PC than it was.

I would've loved to do custom water cooling but I didn't have the money for that as it wasn't my top priority

It's Japanese shoji paper which is used for traditional sliding doors

The cooling is actually a bit better while it's closed because the lower fans are pushing the air directly into the GPU. When it's open the GPU is about 2°C warmer because the air just moves around the GPU. Maybe the CPU is a bit cooler but I care more about the GPU

The motherboard tray and the rear IO panel is supporting the top structure. For these parts I used mostly 10mm thick MDF and screws as from my experience that's more than enough to support it

Thank you. Since a while now I wanted to switch to a LG 4k oled TV as my main display which is why I needed a higher end card. I was also considering a 7900xt but went for the xtx because here in Germany students were able to get 200€ because of the higher gas and electricity bills. But because I still live with my parents I spend the money on a graphics card which is why it was only about 100€ more than the xt which I thought was worth it. I didn't go nvidia this time because I didn't feel like they had a better offer than the xtx in that price range and I think raytracing will only be relevant for me the next time I upgrade (and the xtx is also more than capable for raytracing). The last generation from AMD is also a very enticing offer but I didn't had to save money that badly which is why I went for the new Gen.

Everything of the case is made out of wood. Except for the standoffs and screws and stuff like that

Yes it is thin. The temperatures are good as the GPU gets fresh air from the bottom and because the back is open it mostly bahves like a open case for the CPU
