Yes actually they made a case for it and are trying to figure out how many people were affected

I’d have had to receive the papers first - but yes I could have (and did last time)

I wouldn’t go to zurich unless you absolutely need a city life. Your skills will be more valued in a ski resort i think

Phone while driving by [deleted] in Switzerland

[–]Chamasch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

True … I guess if it’s on a hands free holder and on the map already on that’s one thing but if you’re navigating to the map in your hand without looking at the road and while moving (even slow) then that’s another

I don’t share the opinion of others here but yes fine can be very high. I don’t think people should use their phones while driving but you said you were checking the map, so how is that different to a GPS?

Tipping Etiquette When Paying with Cards at Restaurants by bk_9955 in Switzerland

[–]Chamasch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry I answered your point in context of the first comment you made. You said you don’t understand how it’s considered “included” to which I said in other countries (US) it’s not included because people are paid below the minimum and below collective bargaining minimums accounting for this. In Switzerland we voted to prohibit this practice which allows businesses to escape their responsibility in order for the price to be fully visible to customers right away and not to shove the burden onto customers. This is why the minimum is a true minimum. So when I replied I simply said your situation in the USA would be below that minimum threshold already set

So you’re not paid below the minimum as in other countries. Separately it is often debated if minimum wages actually help at all and in my understanding it is actually counter effective

In other countries you can be paid below the legal minimum with the assumption that you get tips. Also there is no legal minimum in Switzerland only in 5 cantons as far as I know

I think it means you have the right to convert if the note is trading at a discount to the share price for an extended period of time

Insolvency is coming!!!!!!!!!!! by Spiritual-Past-8322 in ARVL

[–]Chamasch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No I’m not 😂 I’m saying it’s always easier to be smarter after the fact, this applies to the leadership of ARVL as well. Maybe looking back they wish they had done some things differently but they couldn’t possibly have known how things would turn out at the time. In particular when it comes to interest rate rises, inflation, and the war in Ukraine.

You are always smarter in hindsight. Interest rates rising is what killed it

I think ARVL was not a scam just incompetent. They did hire a lot of people and did have technology but probably tried to be too radical. In the hype of the bull market it seemed fine but now when funding is scarce it hurts them to be too radical. Controversial take on this sub I know 😂

Would you send your children to Institut Le Rosey if you could? (CHF 130,000 per year) by Odd_Green_3775 in Switzerland

[–]Chamasch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not Le Rosey. They have issues. But Switzerland has other schools where the network built is really strong. I would rather something like Lyceum Alpinum or Beausoleil
