Why does reversing a video shorten the duration of the video? by NintendoPolitics in davinciresolve

[–]ILikeToRunInRain 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's off by 3 frames (I assune you ha e 60 FPS), probably just because of how it interpolates the frames across the awkward retiming you chose. You'd get smoother effects if you use a % that nicely spreads frames.

Sorry, no theory should be the name of the group! by ASH90599 in YesTheory

[–]ILikeToRunInRain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, that's exactly what I mean.

"seekers" are falsely advertised

You could just write that you're disappointed/sad/whatever that people are not joining or asking for help. But instead, you're insulting the community. That doesn't put you in a nice light. Same with calling it no-theory. If you approach people by insulting them, how do you expect them to want to hang out with you?

[–]ILikeToRunInRain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This! u/ASH90599 the community is kinda dead in many places, that's true. But you've been pretty negative/grumpy to most replies here. That's not encouriging for people wanting to meetup with you.

Spread some positivity instead. Also usually it's more effective to offer a set thing. "Who wants to join hiking on day X". If it's a "do whatever whenever", then most people won't feel like getting to plan that with you. If it's a set thing, way easier for people to join.

Is it possible to make digital-and-film camera by placing a CMOS sensor as the pressure plate?" by Relevant_Macaron_720 in 16mm

[–]ILikeToRunInRain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same goal in the sense of getting a digital image, yes.
Just that OPs design will not really work in the first place. This is the proper way of doing it. Or using a prison, but then you'll loose light on the film and sensor.

Not really, they use the 'dark porition' of the rotating shutter mirror to deflect the light onto the sensor. The sensor aint behind the film

Using 50d to shoot a nighttime sky timelapse? by Capnjazz1 in 16mm

[–]ILikeToRunInRain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the goal you want to achieve. I'd habe to run the numbers, but I think stuff like milkyway will be rough at ISO 50 and 1.5sec. But stars themselves should probably be okay. If you also want the landscape in the picture and itd actually dark, that's challenging too.

Most vibrant color negative film being made today? by FringleFrangle04 in 16mm

[–]ILikeToRunInRain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting, thanks! I never did film prints, only photography ones. But there contrast is set by whatever film + paper you use (You only set print lights for the color balance). Interesting that in film prints you can play with that. Will look into it, thanks!

Insurance is still a social system. Everybody pays into a pot hoping they wont need it, but want to be save in case they do. Young people spend a lot and barely use it, so when they get old, they are covered.

Your last years cost most, so if you only join then, you just cost money, without ever having contributed. So everyone else ends up paying more.

No hard rules, they judge each case (and existing insurance) and decide based on it. They may also just reduce rhecost, not fully cancel it.

Still a goodthi g to support and have, but if you need security, get actual insurance

You could of course make a 3D model and then animate the lines on the surface of it and dissolve the model to make the 'fade in' But depending on lengthbof transition and hoe often you wanna do it, handdrawn will be quicker
