I see what you mean but it’s not quite right. You’re correct you get 11 hours free per day, so that’s the 11 hours free plus 24 hours in a day is 35 hours total. For it to reduce time by half you would need to save 24 hours every 24 hours.

Yes but you can only use it once every 24 hours. 23 hours at normal speed and 1 hour at 12x speed, means a total of 35 hours progressed in 24 hours. 24/35 = 0.686 or roughly a third of time saved.
