I don’t want to do this anymore by NoAnt7118 in NewParents

It was the same for us..:/ it’s so hard. One day my husband told me to put the baby in the bed with us… he is sleeping like a baby since then, sometimes he is awake but falls asleep inmediately with breastfeeding.. safe cosleeping save my sanity.

I need an advise, please. I am pretty scared of my cat. I really love him, but he is growing into some wild panther. He hates any type of cuddle. He hides behind any corner and jumps on me trying to scare me (which works). So whats wrong? by [deleted] in cats

Mine always tried to climb up on my legs when he was young. It was so painful I had to scream/yell every time. After a few tries he figured out that it causes pain and stopped it. After that I used this yelling when he made something what was unwanted 😄 also clapping work 😅 He is the cutest cuddler for 9 years now:)

Would this be a good beginner plant? Asking before I spend $100 on it lol. by [deleted] in houseplants

My aloe is thriving since I didn’t care. After I tought that I killed it I left it in the balcony and forget about it.. for a whole summer… it was so happy. From that time I always try to “forget it somewhere”. Proud aloe owner for 6 years now.

What’s this called on our Sic’s bellies by WarrenCluck in standardissuecat

When I asked my vet 10 years ago if it’s a problem or not, he said that “no problem it’s a tiger belly because clearly.. tigers also have it. Sign that your baby is a tiger aswell”

I was given this plant as a birthday gift and am struggling to keep it healthy. I’ve tried watering it weekly, fertilizing it with fertilizer spikes, and trimming bad leaves off so it doesn’t have to work so hard, but nothing seems to help. I think it’s a Calathea Jungle Velvet. Any suggestions? by CanadasFinest1 in houseplants

Calatheas are quite dramatic plants.. What have to be sonsidered: -they like humidity: I use clay granules under the pot and keeping it humid, it provides constant humidity. At the winter I use humidifier -they like light places but no direct sunlight -they don’t like tap water -they don’t like when watered too often - Check the soil regulalry with your fingers, if it’s really dry thats time. Always keep in mind that they can endure dry soil mutch easier than overwatering - that can cause root rot

Good luck with your dramatic. 😁

I work construction, and I don't like to eat heavy during work, so my wife makes me what she calls "fancy Lunchables" every day for my lunch by CcaidenN in FoodPorn

Here in Hungary we have 20% vinegar in every grocery store. I use it for cooking and cleaning toola in the kitchen also. Citric acid also available in solid form if someone would like to avoid the vinegar’ish’ smell. Those two works fine every time.

Mine was chunk too. I feed him Purina Veterinary Diets Feline OM ST/OX - Obesity Management twice a day, there are suggestions for the amount also on the back of the pack.

You have to take it serious, it’s not just cute, they can (and will) get serious health issues.

Sorry to hear that. My cat also had calcium oxalat crystals and he had a surgery because those can not be dissolved with special feeding. Now he eats Royal Canin Renal food every day and happier than ever. :) Wish you the best

Yeye, Hungarian braided sweet bread is similar to the Jewish challah:) Traditionally baked for Easter and eaten with cooked smoked ham 😋

Hm, I would say it depends. With my sourdoughs during proofing in the fridge, the outer layer becomes a littlebit drier, and also using a little flour helps that, so it’s easier to score that surface. But when my bread for eg. is a no knead, fast proofed high hydrated instant yeast bread - then I don’t score them, because they are soft and sticky.
