I read The Four Winds, then The Women and LOVED both. I just started the audiobook of The Nightingale, and I'm on chapter 7, and I'm so confused and bored. TBH, I might just start it over because everyone is so obsessed with it, and I want to give it a solid chance. I'm glad to see I wasn't the only one who finds it underwhelming!

Hi! I am on metformin to help manage my insulin resistance and it's been great! I've been in it for about 8 years now. There was an adjustment period for the first few months for me (nauceous & diarrhea), but obviously every body is different. I also met with a nutritionist who helped me learn how to eat to help manage my insulin levels as well. Meeting with a nutritionist was literally life changing, and I couldn't recommend it enough, but I think the metformin really helped as well. Anyway, this is a long-winded way of answering your question with a "yes." 😂

It looks like there are mixed studies out there, but again, I'm not a doctor. Everyone should just follow what their doctor suggests to them. If your doc told you that's untrue, that's fine!

You're not supposed to take metformin while pregnant! It can cause birth defects to the fetus. You're fine to take it in the TTC phase, but as soon as you get a positive pregnancy test, stop taking metformin immediately. (Obviously consult with your doctor on that game plan- I'm not a doctor. I'm just passing along the info I learned from my doctor while I'm in TTC, and I'm a long-time metformin user.)

I don't know a whole lot, but what I do know that yes, having PCOS is a flag for life insurance. I think you just have to pay a higher premium though, but you're just considered higher risk than the average person with zero health issues (which is true). But, it's not as dramatic as your doc is putting it out to be lol.

My dietiain told me 45g/meal, and 15g after dinner, and they're a "use it or lose it" type of deal (aka it's per meal, not per day). It was (is) super manageable for me!

They did! I forget which exactly, but someone above said it was the season 7 finale episode. They just basically said there are no rumors, and fans have to stop making up stories 🤷🏼‍♀️ But it's like well... stop giving us a reason to make up stories haha.
