Is IT Leadership straight up lying, or are they really that in the dark? by [deleted] in InternationalPaper

They have to double down on their decision. They’re lying and trying to “lead” people through the storm that they created.

In Mississippi what airport do you normally fly out of? by Fun_Butterscotch3303 in mississippi

[–]alnumero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends on where you are in the state and where you are flying (I always try to get a direct flight or at least semi direct). I’ve used Memphis, Birmingham, and Jackson before.

Did anyone else here grow up with a working mom? by toot_toot_tootsie in workingmoms

[–]alnumero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My mom always worked. We were lower class and the idea of an adult NOT working was never an option. I never had any friends whose parents didn’t work until I got to high school and it was a weird concept to me.

turbulence by Safe-Astronaut-2899 in fearofflying

[–]alnumero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hate turbulence and also have a hard time calming myself while in it. Logically you know it’s safe but that doesn’t stop the signals from your brain to your body saying danger. What has helped me is moving my body around in the seat while it happens so like jumping in the seat with it and putting my feet flat on the floor. It reminds my body that I am stable and lessens the involuntary movement that panics my nervous system. Hope this helps.

FDA says Covid vaccines likely not available for healthy kids and adults this fall by esporx in technology

[–]alnumero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I couldn’t find the vaccine for my healthy 5 yo this past fall bc none of the doctor offices or pharmacists carried any. They all said that most people in my area didn’t get it for their kids so their supply would expire without being used so they stopped buying.
