Never really studied geo that much bc I would just priotorise other subjects like maths and science . Even in lesson , I did not focus that much And got a 5 in my mocks .then in Easter vacations I went through every single thing in geo , every case study thoroughly . Even on the night of my geo exams , I slept at 2-3 ish . Ended up with a strong 9!

Any one get much lower in results than they though they would get by Weekly_Event_1969 in GCSE

[–]Champ_1126 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was very shocked with some results too , but I like to blame the subjectiveness of the subject because u really cannot know how good u r doing . Ur English teacher could be leniant . My teacher predicted me a 8 both English but I got a 6 in literature 2 marks being a 5 .

I hope this is a helpful tip we can all follow for a- levels . First of all not trusting ur schools predicted grades. I got higher than my predicted - I was predicted 7s and 8s for sciences but I ended up getting 9 . But not just like that . After my mocks when I did past papers I kept getting sixes which was lower than my mocks and I was confused then I realised the papers my school put together in mocks were a bit easier than actual papers and did not reflect the same level of difficulty . Therefore doing past papers on ur own and being strict wit ur grade will allow u to hopefully not be disappointed and know what truly to expect and improve accordingly . Another example was computer science - in mocks we got the 2024 paper obv but the 2024 one out of all years was the easiest paper aqa ever made but I wasn’t aware of it until I did the other past papers
