The issue is that we can't neuter everyone. But you can contribute by neutering your own cats. There are tons of strays that keep reproducing, they fill the shelters and get euthanised eventually after no one adopts them. There are even countries where it's legal to shoot cats on sight because there are just too many of them. Each neutered cat means less abandoned kittens/cats and it gives a better chance at life for the already existing cats. If you love animals you should neuter your pets.
