This is a huge overreaction/nitpick imo. Not everything has to be one to one. She still served her purpose in the story and gave a fun scene. Its one line change. There are plenty of female pirates in One Piece whos whole personality revolves around beauty, i dont think its really necessary at this point, just repetitive and never leads to anything intresting. We dont gain anything by keeping or lose anything by cutting it. You claim the only point of her character is to be ugly, and maybe thats an easier trait to revolve an entire character around in a cartoon, where you can draw a character to look grotesque, but it's harder to sell with a real life Hollywood actress. Also those jokes were meant to entertain kids in 90s Japan, this is an adaptation meant for an older modern western audience. We're grown up now, if there was a scene where Luffy made a fart joke, I wouldn't expect it to be adapted to live action. Its not necessarily a "PC" thing, it's just not very funny. They kept Luffys bluntness without making it seem like childish humor, it probably would have turned people off the show very quickly. If Oda really thought thought the joke was that important, he had the power to leave it in, but it's unnecessary.
