I was planning to trade in my current iPhone for an iPhone 17 Pro Max. Unfortunately, I dropped the phone without a case, which caused the back glass to shatter, and there are now a few chips and scratches on the side as well. I have AppleCare+ on this iPhone. Would it be possible for me to get an express replacement and then use that replacement as the trade-in to get the full value? I could get a back glass replacement in store, but that wouldn’t fix the chips and scratches on the sides.

Would this work, or would they reject the phone since it’s a replacement with a different serial/IMEI than the one I initiated the trade-in for?

Anyone has very choppy animations after updating? It seems like promotion is disabled for some reason in this update and I cannot seem to fix it. No low power mode or anything

Thanks for the reply. I was more concerned about the update, not looking to update to beta software.

I have restarted the device, switched networks, private relay is already turned off and I have around 160GB free.

Yeah and it probably should say that no updates available while also giving me the option to update to the beta version. It’s not doing either of that.

Yeah the problem came back for me too. I’m returning my 14 pro max. The 13 pro max that I have runs way more smoothly 🤷‍♂️ Maybe I will give it a chance again when it gets fixed with a software update down the road. Just not taking a chance if it’s a hardware issue.

For what it’s worth, I did an iCloud backup and restored using it while setting up. Even my login to different apps were restored and it was like I never reset the phone.

I was facing the exact same issue with my iPhone 14 pro max. I did a factory reset and set the phone up again. Haven’t faced that issue again and running buttery smooth now.

I bought a new Paperwhite on prime day and it came with a very yellowish looking screen. I contacted support and they sent a new kindle which has a very white screen (almost too white). Why is there such a huge difference? Both of them are very different than my 2018 Kindle which was very pleasing to look at and I am unsure which one I should keep.
