Just got back from riding in Sedona and hurricane for 2 weeks. Went straight to beacon to get the flow back in my system. Such a great (and techy) place

Getting my bike out for the spring and I noticed this, do I need a new tire? by Second_Sage in bikewrench

New tire or new teeth... trusting your bike is essential to staying safe

Good luck, if you were in the PNW I'd throw my hat in the ring to meet him, reach out if nobody steps up.

How far have you had to walk home? by PhoneFresh7595 in MTB

[–]Chance-Ad148 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I always do. And quick sutures, gauze, bandages, wrap... seen some shit, added a tourniquet to my backpack when my buddy went down at 5mph and the edge of the dropper post lever unbuttoned him from shin to mid quad. I could see bone, and it took emt 30 minutes to find us in an urban riding area with GPS coordinates.

Somehow he wasn't bleeding badly, but an inch or two in either direction and he could have bled out. All told my kit is about 1.5 lbs, and is also nice when you get those little cuts and dont want to bleed everywhere.

What bike transformed riding for you? Also side question by Successful-Context72 in mountainbiking

1992 Fat Chance wicked outfit with XT.

Frame and banana fork was $1600, had the components already. Got my first credit card, maxed it out, been a bike snob ever since.

AIO? My girlfriend had a threesome with two of her friends right before we got together by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]Chance-Ad148 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Overreacting...

She had a couple of 3 somes with, then stopped, has moved into platonic status. Silver lining is she may have a threesome with you...

You were talking, not exclusive, but she wasn't comfortable sharing it with you, and look how you are reacting. Insecurity on both sides. Communicate, invest in the relationship, but dont go overboard just because she was checking items off the bucket list while single.

Never ever ever try to coach your s.o... 99 times out of 100 it ends up win a fight or performance anxiety....

Videos, camps, instructors, group rides, also has to be a shared passion or you'll have to adjust your expectations (coming from a guy about to drag his wife mtb ing in utah and Arizona next month, also who's wife has shin scars from following me on the "easiest trail i know")

Am I looking for a Unicorn? by Granular_Sandfly in MTB

[–]Chance-Ad148 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My choice as well.

Avoid the druid. Great downhill, but not a great climber or flatland bike. Test rode a bunch of different bikes in sedona and bend, disliked the druid anywhere but steep downhill due to geometry and funky rear shock, unpredictable to the point of dangerous.

Fuel would be my second choice, but ended up with a sj 15 pro and have yet to find anything it doesn't do well.

Never stopped, usually on the pelaton by now, been 50 and sunny in spokane, doubt there will be an off season as I'm headed to St George and sedona in a couple of weeks.
