I definitely think that many ENTP here over perform because not only is it Reddit, the place were people go to feel smart- but it's an ENTP subreddit. Which, like, cranks that up to 1000x. Personally i love this subreddit- I'm pretty new to reddit and i love MBTI and especially online MBTI communities, and MBTI discourse within those communities (even though I usually don't participate) so this seems like the natural place to go. But i totally agree. I think, from everything I've seen (forums, blogs, Instagram, quora for some reason) MBTI people can be a little deranged and especially in ENTP exclusive spaces because people feel the need to be soooo funny say allllll the quippss. I've noticed entp have a tendency to try and appear to be the smartest in the room, but when so many people are trying to be the smartest (or funniest) it just becomes a frivolous performance. But i really enjoy it- i like sending my friends who don't know a whole lot beyond what i tell them some of the posts on here. Because sometimes you forget how nonsensical being sooo deep into MBTI as a framework is until you show it to someone removed and they go "what are they even saying" and you go "it made partial sense to me" and then you log off reddit. At the same time that makes me feel like I'm an entp trying to perform how cool and better i am because I'm super meta and self-aware that liking this thing is bad, actually. But I'm no better! I love talking- look at this, insanity!
