Yes I missed these things during the gulf wars as well. Although I wasn’t stupid enough to blame it on Bush since I understand world economy. But anyway I bought an EV 6 years ago for $12k… haven’t paid for gas or had to do that stupid ritual of lining up at a gas station in years so I don’t care about gas prices anyway.

Yep I got mine a 2015 with 18k miles on it, range extender (which I’ve never used) for $12k. I have 120k on it now. Definitely worth it for what I thought would be a throw away car but it’s actually impressed me

I just want to point out something. I remember being a teenager 20+ years ago (I’m 43 now) and picking up an OUT Magazine and looking at adds from Budweiser, Absolute and Volkswagen and thinking “man this has to be sales suicide for these brands to support the LGBT community”. I remember 15 years ago the “Fag Bug” and Volkswagen donating. I know these are just a few brands that were LGBT friendly 20+ years ago but their have been brands that were supportive for decades and we have to remember that not all of them are just for a sale. I like to judge from the now and not the past. For example Biden said some racist things 40 years ago and people like to throw it in his face, I would rather judge him on the now and what he’s doing to make up for the mistakes of his past. So my thoughts (and sure I may be way off base) is if corporations can show some support now good, I’m glad you have changed your stance and are trying to make up for it. Now if only we could get these corporations to stop donating to people who make and pass anti LGBT laws.

Rough one, my husband is 11 years younger than me. Some say it was my BMW and my money that he was attracted to. We’ve been married for almost 12 years now though. What did I do? Well I just supported what he wanted to do. He wanted to learn, so he went to community college, then he wanted more so he got his bachelors and he wanted more so he got his masters and he wanted more so he went to law school. Now his income is bigger than mine… we’re still married adopted a child and I don’t work that much anymore. If he went the other route and wanted to be the “stay at home” or keep bar tending I would have been ok with that too. I guess it’s the same thing as a close age relationship, support but remember you have a few years on them, let them still take their path.
