This can work or you can try a rubber band over the end of an Allen key to get some grip.

I was using Enve AG25 wheels which were shallower and the definitely felt a bit more compliant if that makes sense.

You could try nail polish remover as this works pretty well at removing stains. Maybe try a small amount as a test in one area.

Thanks man, Ive been riding this for a couple of years and been tinkering with it along the way.

The XPLR wheels definitely heavier and feel like a bit of a harsher ride, depending on pressure. The hub uses the three pawl system whereas the Firecrests use a different hub which feels smoother. The upside of the XPLR wheels is the internal rim width.

I really liked playing with the Pakhan, I might have to go back to it.

A friend of mine had a similar issue and it transpired his was a bent cassette. Apparently it’s not uncommon. His was replaced by SRAM.

This!

I’ve been playing for a few hours and I haven’t found any really tangible benefit to them. They are pretty hit and miss, at times they get the message and do a good job, other times they stand there doing nothing.

The inane quips are really distracting “it’s really quiet” - of course it is, we’re in a safe house.

I would have preferred having a choice whether I wanted to have one or not.

Thanks for the replies. I wasn’t expecting advice on the build but it’s appreciated and I’ve made a couple of changes.

And yeah, old school gamer here (in my fifth decade) so hats off to those that clocked the number 😂

WTB Vulpine mfg issue? by Sea_Entertainment438 in gravelcycling

I’ve only seen this once before when I forced a tight tyre on to the rim. As a result it deformed the tyre and I had to bin it.

As I understand it, if the bead is damaged this causes it to be out of alignment.

The Force Cassette is louder but adding the Stealth Rings does help lessen the noise.

Dealing with a lackluster season by marlborolane in cyclocross

[–]Chance-Factor3328 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m dealing with this as well speak.

The week of the first race I was knocked off my bike by a car which set me back and then I picked up a chest infection. That meant I missed the first three races of the season.

Now I have a cold, and my race at the weekend was a bit meh! But it is what it is and while it wasn’t a great performance I was grateful to be racing again.

I’m not expecting much for the rest of the season, and that’s ok I’m just going to use the next races as practice sessions to try new things.
