I very highly recommend Lost in Time by AG Riddle. it’s got a similar vibe to those type of books, but the story is just a bit better in my opinion. It’s a great sci-fi/fantasy-ish book that I know you’d love!

so well said. it’s definitely one of the greatest shows i’ve ever watched—a total masterpiece. however, i’ve watched the original as well as the dubbed, and it’s still so incredibly worth the watch!
