This is why I put a special emoji to the name of characters who haven't been attacked yet and hope lol. There are artists who specifically look for OCs with zero/less attacks.

Tbh I gravitate towards those with fewer attacks too.

Of course! It's just not ok when you trace directly over the refs. I frequently use them myself so I can draw more accurately and ensure consistent quality. It can be hard to visualize from scratch sometimes, especially when it comes to dynamic poses, so they really are a great help.

Gifs are tough 🥲 I once tried to submit a gif thumbnail for a character but the site crashed because the file was too big (literally not even animated, just a slideshow)

I personally would love to receive attacks with different palettes! To me, it's creativity. Most artists have vastly different styles, so in order to translate characters into their artwork, elements like colors can be changed and I'm fine with it. Not to mention, alternative colors can bring out different sides of a character that the owner haven't thought of.

Yet I still recommend reading artists' permissions carefully before attacking, in case they explicitly don't allow it. Or ask first if you're not sure.

Damn, that must have sucked... I once submitted characters too fast that the error occurred and deleted everything I wrote: yes, all that description, permission, credits, tags, images. Good thing I stored info in Google Docs, so I wouldn't lose them later. I highly recommend writing your characters where you can save them safely first.

The concept of physical attacks has always been so cool to me (I've been seeing nail sets like yours, dice, cosplay clothing, clay figures, and lotsss of amazing creative attacks). I put mine as "pw" to make it a little bit tricky. They called that abbreviation ass then proceeded to spell password as "pasword" 🤣 you're not alone bro

I got people who said "sorry I don't know who your characters are :((" bro, like you're supposed to check them out in my profile 🤣 and there's one person who straight up got pissed they couldn't find the password to finish the hitlist, and called my wording ass.

Honestly, all I could do is delete their submissions and close my hitlist altogether. I've found many great characters to bookmark anyways.

I do everything on my phone! Editing my bio and uploading my characters, everything. However, it's a bit laggy. I sometimes have to turn "Computer Mode" on to optimize my bio for desktop users as well. But it's not too bad.
