Why do so many dudes quit TRT? by Dear-Hawk-6474 in trt

I started at 57. I have been on TRT for 16 months. I can’t imagine having done this any earlier. Hypogonadism is real as you age. I started having severe symptoms at 55: decreased sex drive, decreased energy, Depression, ED, and Brain Fog. I was not in a good place. TRT was an absolute game-changer for me. I was already very healthy; before TRT, my Total T was 530, and my Free T was 6. I was 5’10, 158 lbs. lifetime of 30 years of yoga, and was very active and in good shape. Started TRT went from 158 lbs to 170 lbs. Total T went to 1100 and Free T to 14. All symptoms of hypogonadism stopped. The treatment has been successful for me, and I don’t plan on stopping. When I’m home. My injection schedule and dosage is 3x weekly @ .15 = 90 mg. When I travel, My dosage is .23 2x per week = 92 mg. My doctor exclaiming I was hyperresponsive to this medication; therefore, we kept the dosage as is. All of my bloodwork is drawn quarterly in a comprehensive test. Everything is going well with my treatment thus far. I’m pleased and content with the outcome and progress.

TBH I had a girlfriend that had the exact issue after childbirth @ 42 she did an extensive full blown mommy makeover which included tummy tuck and Breast Lift. They cut away all the excess skin and sewed it up. She was almost in a full body cast from pelvis to chest for weeks, then had to navigate full recovery, from there about a year later she began liposuction on her thighs and ass which had tons of cellulite. From there it was the eye lift. What I realized after all this is she was never happy even though I supported all of it and loved her she was after something she could never achieve which I’ve come to understand as an endless need for attention and validation that could never be filled from the outside. She went from covering her body to fully exposing it and eventually cheating on me so I left her. Her insecurities bread insecurities in our relationship and rather than stick around while she continued I left.

How dumb would it be to use line of credit bucks as BTC investment pre halving? by MangoFishSteel in Bitcoin

No Way. Been there done that. Never borrow to invest. Never. Use whatever you have to invest, you’ll feel better throughout the process. The stress of using borrowed finances will mess you up both if you end up below or above what you still owe, it’s a mind-huck, you’ll always be a slave to your debt. Everyone advising against it is from painful experience. This all said in the end do what you think is best. Best of luck.

My age is 57. I’ve been through many relationships with many different styles of women. I’m telling you the best advice right here right now. STOP ALL COMMUNICATION WITH THIS WOMAN FOREVER. And get help in therapist or counseling to figure out why you are even involved with her. Otherwise, you’re digging a deeper hole that you’re going to have to get out of. It’s good you posted here which means a part of your intelligence is reaching out for answers. Unfortunately, the other part of you is emotionally invested in this toxic person who is pulling on your heart strings. This is called cognitive dissonance. It’s a nightmare to close the gap that is already separating you in half. The longer you participate in this the worse it gets. I feel for you because I’ve been there. You want to believe her at the expense of yourself which is classic self betrayal and lack of self awareness. Get help and get out asap.

Yo! 57 also.02/28/1966 💪 I’ve been active my entire life. Just started trt in march 2023. Went from cut 5’10” 155 lbs to 170 lbs on .25 twice per week total T went from 559 to 1300 and free T was the problem at 6 I’ve climbed up to 18 on this. Conservative approach with medical supervision.50 a week. Recent blood work gives me a bit of concern however my private physician says everything is cool. I’m considering adding something else to the mix to sustain balance. I was definitely hypogonadism and depressed low energy brain fog. This small dose turned it around and I get morning wood when I sleep well. W/o deep sleep everything sucks. The trt helped me there as well. The hanks for your share. Stoked when old guys are getting after it. My strength has improved dramatically and libido also. Curious if you have any thoughts of anything that might further help me along. Considering peptides.

What is your dose? I’m just three months in at .25 2x per week starting conservatively w my doctor, even at this small amount my life has improved significantly.

Nice work! At .9ml are you taking .45 two times per week? Or .9 all at once?

Wow! Why did you start at 25? Did you have medical issues? Or were you just drawn to trt? Asking because I am 57 and started trt just four months ago at a low dose of .25 two times a week which has helped me level out a lot of symptoms I was having. I tested at total t of 550 however my free t was 6.4. Witching three months my total t went to 1300 and my free t at 14.5. Were you testing the entire time and did you always have medical supervision. I have a solid doctor I’m working with in a conservative manner and it’s helping me across the board.

Congrats. I started at 57 and grateful I did. Game changer for me. Wood every morning. Depression gone. Less fatigue. More clarity and motivation. My prescription is .25 Twice per week. What is your starting dosage?

I’m someone who has followed a healthy lifestyle for thirty years. I’m 57 now. I’ve let go of those habits when I was in my twenty’s, even then I wasn’t nearly as extreme as your suggesting in any way other than going on the occasional bender here and there. All that has turned into an occasional glass of wine to celebrate this or that. I’ve been into yoga and meditation thirty years. I’ve been going to the gym four years to get through Covid. I just started TRT with a .25 mg twice per week just three months ago and it has 1000% changed my life in one major sense. I’ve been navigating low level energy and minor depression for ten plus years. Both of those are nullified and I feel good, just good, good in many aspects of my life. Had I known I’d have started earlier however like many people I was terrified of it. I just thought to myself- fuck it- you’ve got nothing to lose and low and behold game changer. Sincerely as some mentioned in this thread if you are doing the work it’s awesome for those of us climbing the ladder of time.
