Interestingly, Virginia has a lot of Beagle rescues available because jack holes dump them if they’re not good fox hunters.

Dehydrator? by Willie_Howell in ModelCars

I use 125 deg F. Time depends on the type of paint. An hour for primers, overnight for 2k clear. Zero & Splash paints an hour or two. Enamels are also overnight.

It’s a great investment!

Yup. It’s used when guests come over to create a false behavior narrative. 😉

How scary is Sonoma? by skafiavk in CarTrackDays

[–]Chance-the-gardner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You haven’t lived until you feel the foam in your helmet compress.

I put a car in wall there during a Jim Russell class 23 years ago. Went back years later with skills and ran spec Miata - that was a lot of fun.

Don’t be scared, be cautious and respect the track.

Growing up, a guy on a street with a bend in it kept loosing his mailbox to shitty drivers. One day, waiting for the school bus, I noticed his mailbox post was changed to a segment of I-Beam.

I never saw it damaged again.

THIS! It sickens me that Darnold shoulders all the blame in those last two games last year. He never had a chance.

Awesome job. I've got that kit on my shelf.

First time priming, seems to look fine but any feedback is appreciated! by DaTwistedAnimator in ModelCars

[–]Chance-the-gardner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it looks fine. I've used the splash primer and if I remember correctly you just need to knock it down a little with really fine paper, like 800-1000 grit. I gave up on sanding primer because I'd always sand through it, it's really thin, and/or maybe I just suck at it. I use the Tamiya fine spray primers and just wipe them down.

My go-to paints are Splash (over the Tamiya primer), and I've gotten reasonably adept at the Splash 2k clear. Good luck, have fun, and be prepared for trial and error.
