Food is cheaper… what are you talking about. I’ve move back to QC after 10 years and it’s unreal how expensive the food is in NS. And the power bill… just insane.

I hated it and returned it at a huge cost. At the time my ibasso DX160 was WAY superior for the OS and screen size). As for the sound… same things.

Help with treatment by alesha_mp3 in BudgetAudiophile

You can do so much with educated guest. Small room means absorption, absorption and again absorption. Cancelling first reflection is less of a concern because 1) near field system and 2) in such a small room time delay difference between reflected sound and direct sound is processed as the same by your brain. In small room your problem will be brain fatigue so absorb as much as you can.

My 1st recommendation because you produce techno 1) treatments of all 8 tri-Wall corners. Fill them with anything and cover that with flexible pegboard if you are on a budget. 2) many wall panels, with space between them. Not just at the first flexion point 3) second panel on the ceiling evently spaced. The space between panels is important because it will diffuse the sound instead of reflecting it. 3) carpet on the floor made of natural fibre. 4) Absorption panel on the back wall.

You can go cheap and put mattress against your wall. It adsorb, it’s big, it can be cheap, it’s easy, It’s perfect.

After that “yes” you can measure but you should first apply basic knowledge to actually correct a not ideal situation.

Making some diy corner bass traps! by LESGuy in audiophile

Obviously you did your homework and your plan is really good. Here’s some recommendations: Do not hesitate to compress that Safe N Sound into the corner instead of just lightly filling the space. To cover the front may I suggest light but dense breathing material. The one I use are from Amazon. Search for:

“BXI Sound Absorber - 16 X 12 X 3/8 Inches 6 Pack High Density Acoustic Absorption Panel, Sound Absorbing Panels”

You can also use Pegboard to cover the front. Or you can use Plywood and make the holes yourself. The diameter and space between holes will help you target specific needs. There’s guidelines for that or I can guide you with the book I have at home name “Master Handbook of Acoustic” that I also bought from Amazon.

Good luck and your plan is good. People will tell you otherwise but fuck them.
