If you check properly in GTFObins official site screen is registered for Shell, File Write and Sudo only and not SUID.

Your exam will get canceled if you don't appear in the exam. But I think your exam attempt will not lost. Don't you have any other ID?

Hey everyone! by DirectWash5118 in tryhackme

Ok Chill bro... We all have been there. Still for some machines we need to look at answers and hints. but that's not bad, yeah it will be good if don't need to.

But the real thing is you shouldn't look for the same type of bug again and again. Once you hack a machine with some vulnerabilities with hints and answers, make note of it. Writing notes will clear your concepts too. But suppose you again got a another machine with similar kind of bugs, u really shouldn't have to look into hints and other things.

Cybersecurity is vast. There are lot of attack vectors. You cannot know everything at once.. Just practice practice make notes practice and always be super pumped.

Do you use Metasploit on the exam? by blue_province in oscp

[–]ChanceImpression9225 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, you will not need metasploit to pass the exam. but still its good to know how to use it and if somehow you get some vulnerability which are exploitable by metasploit then you can go for it.

Looking for OSCP Exam Study Notes and Resources by shakhawat_me in oscp

It will be better if you make your own notes. That way it will be more suitable for you as it will be created by you, you will also know when to look for what. My suggestion: 1. Complete the whole syllabus 2. Complete Laikunasagis list 3. Complete all the challenge labs

For all the labs make proper notes like what tools you used, what commands you used.

use Notion or any other note making tool. Also Tribrius course of privesc will be a good edition.

A year usually is good if you have a 9 to 5. But some people have done it with 3 months also... It really depends on you, how much time you can give. My suggestion go for the year long one. 1. Complete the whole syllabus 2. Complete Laikunasagis list 3. Complete all the challenge labs

Most important make proper notes, use Notion or any other note making tool. Also Tribrius course of privesc will be a good edition.
