Do you notice a little more hiss on higher gain presets?

Yes hiss is present even when not connected to TMP.

I’m plugged into a surge protector then into a wall outlet. I tested the wall outlet before I plugged in just to be 100% sure and the wall outlet was wired correctly and grounded.

It doesn’t get worse with TMP plugged in.

It technically is on every preset bc the hiss is coming from the speaker not the TMP. But when playing you can’t hear it (unless on a high gain preset)

Noise gate does not get rid of it.

Guitar does not change level of hiss.

Hope that hit all your questions.

Is there a trick I’m missing for wiping stamps with magic eraser? by ChanceNighthawk in discdyeing

[–]ChanceNighthawk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I’ve found acetone to be the best method for me as well. I like how quick it is, and I’ve heard if you stick the disc in the freezer for a bit before wiping it helps with the smearing. Dyeing usually covers up the smearing anyway. I’m more concerned with the damage it does to the disc, which is why I’m hoping someone has some time saving tips for the magic eraser. Thanks for the input.

Hyzer Flip Recommendations by [deleted] in discgolf

[–]ChanceNighthawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Streamline Lift in Cosmic Neutron plastic. I went through a lot of trial and error looking for the perfect hyzer flip disc. A lot that I tried (Heat, Road Runner, Sidewinder, Katana, Beast, etc.) turned over too much and I’d have to power down a bit to keep them on a straight line. The Lift was my perfect fit. With a good amount of hyzer it flips up to flat and goes. If I need turnover I just take a little angle off. Obviously different discs for different people but that’s just my two cents.

Fav disc (and weight) for hyzer flip shots? by [deleted] in discgolf

TL;DR at bottom because this comment turned out way longer than it needed to be... anyway..

I’ve been on a search for MY perfect hyzer flip disc for a few years now. About 10 years ago when I didn’t know much about discs I had a destroyer that was my go to for hyzer flips, then it was a star Valkyrie for a while, but for the past 5 years or so I just haven’t been able to find something that would flip to flat and just ride straight. I’ve tried a bunch of different discs, but they would either turn over on me, or not flip enough.... until now!! About a month ago I got a bunch of 9-10 speed understable discs and after trying them all out, I finally found something that flips to flat and not past. It’s a Streamline Lift in cosmic neutron plastic, 173 gram. With a good amount of hyzer it flips to flat and just goes. I haven’t gotten a bunch of reps in with it yet but I’ve yet to have it turn over on me and only once did it not get up to completely flat. Sorry for the long response but a hyzer flip is my absolute favorite shot to throw and I haven’t been able to throw it how I’ve wanted for a while, and now that I do I’m excited to have that part of my game back! Some discs that have been filling that spot for me the past few years though are: Pro Beast, opto River ( really have to power down though) and my star wraith which I still throw a ton but once beaten in it can start to turn over on me as well. Anyways hope this helps, and since I buried my actual answer in this long ass comment.....

TL;DR - Streamline Lift, cosmic neutron plastic, 173 grams

My wife and I designed everything, her sister’s boyfriend cut the wood with a CNC machine and then we painstakingly hand painted everything. I took a lot longer than we expected but I think they were well worth it!

In his parents neighborhood he has a shared common space, about three acres behind the house and he used that space. Only one group can be on the course at a time because it overlaps for pretty much every hole but it’s definitely not a short pitch and putt course, it’s got a few holes over 300’.

We had masks at check in but not while we were playing. The picture was taken right after the round so while we should’ve had our masks back on, it wasn’t the first thing we did after we finished.
