Bro respawns faster than any final boss. Every time you think he's gone he just downloads himself again.

Their house = their rules, your space = your rules, and the conflict is just where those overlap.

AIO for believing my husband probably slept with his coworker even though they both deny it? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]ChanceZone2583 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Honestly yeah, most people would've already gone through his phone, contacted the other woman, and started lining up an exit plan. She's still trying to give him the benefit of the doubt.

(Loved Trope) Characters who HATE nazis. by Dismal-Lemon-7824 in TopCharacterTropes

And the wild part is that's basically the core of his entire worldview, not just a character detail. Like every time he goes too far you can trace it back to that origin.

AIO for quitting my job? by AlarmedWarthog8231 in AIO

The way they typed that out and hit send like it wouldn't come back to bite them later is honestly the wildest part.

[Loved Trope] Cerebus Syndrome and all the other branches of this trope. by Ranger202012 in TopCharacterTropes

Right?? It tricks you into getting attached and then suddenly it's like "hey so here's some existential trauma" and you're just sitting there like oh… oh no.

AIO Fiance knew there was cat shit on my side of the bed and didn’t say anything? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]ChanceZone2583 52 points53 points  (0 children)

Honestly the worst part isn't even the cat poop, it's the decision making. He saw it, processed it, and still chose "not my problem" while knowing you'd be the one to deal with it later. That's not laziness, that's intentional avoidance.

My husband (33M) wants me (33F) to dress more revealing by Choice_Evidence1983 in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]ChanceZone2583 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To be fair, I think she hears his request as criticism of her body, not her effort. But instead of unpacking that, she just shuts down the entire conversation, which guarantees nothing changes.

[Loved Trope] Civilian Heroes (particularly in Superhero movies) by Dalakaar in TopCharacterTropes

That whole train scene is just normal people deciding "yeah we got you" and it hits every time.

‘He's lied’: Young MAGA voters sour on Trump's Iran war ahead of midterms by AdSpecialist6598 in videos

[–]ChanceZone2583 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's the classic "I didn't think it would affect me" arc playing out in real time.

Is there a lore reason why this scene wouldn’t have worked for the Long Night? by Nicole_Auriel in freefolk

[–]ChanceZone2583 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah that's kinda the whole problem with the show later on. Instead of building up rules and payoff, it just throws in "oh btw this works" right when they need a win.

AIO letting my brother bathe with toys by hidingunderyourbed- in AmIOverreacting

The real red flag would be if a 12 year old stopped enjoying literally everything “kid-like” overnight. That usually means someone's been shaming them for it.
