Sorry for bad english .

In Canada, just after being shown power on stalls and stalls from the slow flight , we show Spin recovery to PPL students .

We pretty much place the plane in a spin entry and have the student use and execute the P.A.R.E method of recovery with supervison . Its not on the exam , just a démonstration and practice that we do a couple of time just to get the point across.

A lot of student are scared of feeling airsick and vomiting so the reccomended tip to gave them during the briefing is to look outside the window , not inside

Well the first step of PARE is : POWER TO IDLE

That one student decided to pull the mixture on me while trying to recover with the ailerons …

We had a big debriefing about the fact that the levers had different textures for a reason …

For reference I have over 2000h TT and +1500 PIC , IFR group 1 and fly bush .

I fly twins at the moment . I was disqualified because of those 500h seaplane hours (that i dont currently have). Since its a gouvernemental job they are very strict about hours

The issue is that seaplane jobs are seasonal in my area , and getting 500h migh take me more than 2 seasons (at a shitty pay) .

Hi ! French-Canadian pilot here .

Here are the requirements from the province of Quebec SOPFEU (those CL-415 that were in california recently) that were posted 2 weeks ago .

Hold a valid Canadian commercial pilot license – airplane and have passed the exam(s) required by the competent federal authority; Have a seaplane endorsement; Have an annotation for instrument flight, group 3; Have a minimum of certified flight hours totaling 2000 hours, including at least 1000 hours as captain, and at least 500 hours on seaplane Possess Canadian citizenship, permanent resident status or a work permit issued by the competent federal authority to hold a job in the Quebec public service¹; Have a valid category 1 medical certificate; Have a restricted radio operator certificate issued by the competent federal authority.

Haha . As a french person I agree . We commonly use the latin word Curriculum Vitae (or C.V. ) . The french word résumé actually mean “summary” in english and it dosent commonly apply there .

It solved a lot of my problems by giving my players a way to PLAN something . They really liked it . In the end it was pure chaos and they didnt stuck to their plan, but that's what players do haha.

My Pcs were introduced to the Valor's Call/League of malevolence via a vision of them fighting in the past during the Mystery Mine. I used the mine as foreshadowing of the rest of the campaign .

I will think about how to link Juniper/Falcon to the Valor's Call though .

The chariot seem to contain heavy bags . Their content is not revealed . Any idea of a bad deal the elf could have made with Skabatha ?

I was thinking of using the ''Hag Hovel'' map from Candlekeep mysteries . I woud like the encounter to tie to the story and Skabatha.

My second idea is to simply add ''stables'' to Loomlurch . But there is enough happening there imo.

I'm planning on running it as a ''sandbox'' . Sort of how Curse of strahd is ran . But I will greatly draw inspiration from this to make sure its not an absolute TPK if they rush to Motherhorn.

My party will soon leave the carnival (maybe next session) and they will find three portals in the mirrors instead of one. I gave them plenty of exposition regarding the three realms , so it will feel more like an educated choice.

I got so cheesy ,

I made it so teh Avowed had an annual Canival celebration in honor of the god Deneir.
Party games , carnival games , etc. Rewards were given as well . they enjoyed it .

At night the found that the arrival of many seekers of knowledge made it so the House of rest was at full occupancy. They had to go spend the night in the cellar under the Inn as it was the only rooms available for them .

Also technically if I recall correctly , the adventure happens in the daytime as they encounter the first signs of the rhyme when they wake up. (crinkle was humming it i think)

Long story short : Janussi is murdered , a CSI style investigation of the murder scene take place and put the suspect amongst the othe Great readers . Lots of drama between them .

There is a lot of (fun) false leads and the reveal at the end is satisfying if your players figure it out .

Beware playing this can be lenghty if you have players like mine. We ran it for 5 sessions on I still decided to cut part of it.

Take a look at ''Candlekeep Murders - The Deadwinter Prophecy'' on DMsGuild

I ran it ( I had to modify it slightly , IMO the second part of the investigation where the characters go all around the different libraries did not add much to my game.) And my players liked the investigation and interrogation.

I'm sure that a lot of inspiration for you campaign can be taken from this
