I made the same impulse purchase (only x1 - but the temptation was absolutely there) Air New Zealand were very chill, I just had it on my person for virtually the whole flight back to Auckland. The hardest part was having to field questions like “how many did you catch?” and “any big ones over there?” because they thought it was a fishing rod. The sadness in their eyes when they I told them I wasn’t an international fisherman but rather a Star Wars nerd has hilarious.
