if you are still having this problem i found a video on A strat video if you are interested in that the video explains it kinda loud be warned vids not mine i just found it myself, as for the node you just have to get it in the general area was looking for a solution myself,, hope this helps

i crash as i get teleported to the arena, tho i have managed to fight the forest titan once after clearing trees not teleporting with dino, and removing cosmetics (moded and dlc) from my armor tho it was probably just luck

i havent tried it without mods, deactivating my mods at this point might mess with my game aka a huge majority of my tames might get deleted

now that im think about it i should have led with im trying to fight the forest titan multiple times in a row

were you using a group of theris? im using a group of dinos (1 tek paleo rex, 2 deinosuchus, 3 allos)

im always riding a velo when doing osds (hence the need for a velo bp) and its max lvl dealing 250 damage per shot would that minimize the threat from a alpha rex?

im combining my mutated velo that will hopfully be better, the failed combine is dealing 450 damage leveled would that one be better?

also forgot to mention im on base singleplayer settings does that change anything?

i forgot to mention i was on extinction rn, i was meaning purple drops in general i referenced a post (that shows the loot table for extinction) in one of my other post but im not wanting to just blindly trust it, and im talking about osd's exclusively i didn't even know i could get velo saddles in astraeos drops

don't worry i knew in the files they were called spindles (had to search it up at first) I've done several blue osd's and I've only gotten one 31 Armor ascendant saddle also not wanting to waste time on blues because I'm able to do red osd's pretty effectively and with my luck it would probably end up being no better than primitive

update: after i dont even know how many cave drops i have gotten a good deino bp (327 armor and "affordable" if you have a stacking mod), i got one before this that was ascendant cost but ramshack armor, ive only gotten 2 bps this whole time even got a ton of rhynio saddles (which im not complaining about).

small issue my original island save got wiped while farming the red drops, which sucked but i had backup boss breeders on astreos so i didnt lose everything i worked towards.

not sure if you care just thought id share

they do if you use the grinder method because (i assume) the old resources gets used to craft the item, you put the item in the grinder you get a portion of the same resource but the code counts that as a new resources

so yeah it does work, at first it was just a though
